"Beautiful property in SJDS . As a family of 4 with 2 kids under 10 this had everything we needed . Food is on the pricier side but one breakfast drink & item is included daily with your stay (portions were big) . Daily shuttle will take you closer to the beach as it is not walking distance. Unfortunately, some of the things advertised on their social media such as “access to a private beach” were not accessible , they could not get us a shuttle to the private beach or provide a clear follow up on why so that was kind of a bummer. Otherwise, the resort itself was amazing."

"This was our 4th time staying and it was just as great as the other stays. We arrived well after the front desk closed and the restaurant staff quickly got us settled in a room. The daily included breakfasts are so delicious and filling. Greatlocation, lots of street parking and comedy bedrooms. We are already looking forward to the next stay!"

"Absolutely loved the stay here. The property was stunning. The beach was pristine and quiet, boogie boarding was so much fun for our son. The ocean view was spectacular. I also particularly loved the air conditioning units over the bed, they made a real difference! The reasons for my non 5/5 reviews are this: 1) I’m a big runner/walker. This place was advertised as being able to explore the 4000 hectares solo or with guide. I understand they’ve had challenges with the new highway, but none the less the maps made no sense, nor were there any markers on the trails. I tried to explore beyond the new highelway and either came across trails no longer in use, or confusion from the less than spectacular map. 2) the shrimp farm was dry and not in operation. Rather false advertising on both the website and on the menu advertising “Morgan’s rock shrimp” 3) menu prices are absolutely outrageous. We did eat there at dinner, our choice for not driving 30+ minutes to town and back. No reason at all for a $50 that was “good” but absolutely not worth this price nor justified for the quality of food. The farm breakfast was great."

"This hotel is great and a great bargain. The staff is super helpful, management is very flexible and accomodating (they worked with us so that we could have breakfast earlier than they open), the views are amazing and the place is very spacious, which is great for families with kids who like to explore and play freely outdoors. The one constraint worth mentioning is that depending on where your house is located on the property, it can be a 20-25 minute walk on a hill to the town, which can be tricky to navigate with food. That said, if you have a car, that will not be an issue and you can always get a local taxi to help you out. I still highly recommend this hotel and it's definitely worth 5 stars in my book!"

"I've been coming back for more than 20 years, even before the new owners upgraded everything. This hotel is the best value in San Juan Del Sur. Next to cathedral and main park, walk to everything. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, and fully bilingual. The neighborhood while very close in is quiet and safe. Its just below Pelican Eyes at half the price. Rooms and beds light, airy and comfortable even at the lower price point. All town's amenities are a few steps away."
