"Room, food and location were good. Reception staff were poor. Getting info on parking arrangements was like drawing teeth. Paid for 2 rooms but when my friend went to check in an hour later, he was told he hadn't paid. No apology was given when proof of payment shown later. Paid for 2 breakfasts each when checking in but on arriving at restaurant each morning no record of booking on list and had to show card payments to staff member who was very good. Time to sharpen up your act me thinks."

"Stayed here for one night stayed in room 6 lovely room very clean just found the bed the pillows very hard and the bed very very small… like to watch to in bed with a brew before sleep but couldn’t to very very small and very poorly situated on the wall I would definitely stop here again but I would bring my own pillows… didn’t have the breakfast but there looked a lot off selection from cereals and pastries perfect for 1 night stay loads off areas to walk "

"Lovely property in beautiful location. Wonderful spacious room. Friendly staff, delicious breakfast. But the shower & bath needs the water temperature control or mixer mending: it only produced very hot water, with no adjustment possible. They also need to remove the wasps nest in the roof/chimney near the bathroom window, as it meant we couldn't open the window, so the bathroom was like a sauna."
