"This property has existed since the 1800s. The rooms are cute and quaint, and they are very clean. There is an outdoor patio and gazebo area so you can enjoy the views of the river and the town of Galena from a peaceful perch. It is a PERFECT location for getting around. Main Street is a block away, so we walked there every day of our trip to shop and eat. The river is also a block away, so you can rent canoes/kayaks, rent bikes, walk the trails along the river, or simply sit and enjoy the...

Farmers Guest House
3.0 star property
9.8 out of 10, Exceptional, (53)
"We wanted to try some place new for a romantic weekend and Farmers Guest House was perfect! Our room, The Charlotte, was warm and comfortable for relaxation. The breakfast that was made fresh every morning was by far the best we have ever had. The little extras like wine time with cheese and crackers made the weekend even better. We are already planning on going back. If I could have given this a 10 star review, I would have! You will not regret spending time at the Farmers Guest House!!"

Galena, Historic, Petite B&B, 2 Luxurious King Suites, Perfect Location, Parking
10.0 out of 10, Exceptional, (1)
"We had a great stay for a little family retreat in off-season Galena. By renting both suites, we essentially had the house to ourself (less the kitchen proper) which was a wonderful surprise (and pleasant when traveling with kids!) Breakfast was wonderful both days and Kate did an amazing job of giving instruction and making sure we had everything that we needed."

"Chris and Resa run a wonderful B&B! The house itself is beautiful, and if you like seeing original architectural details of historic buildings, this is the place for you. Breakfast was delicious, and it was hard to pick what our favorite meal was. After a day of shopping on Main Street, it was nice to come back to the house for a charcuterie plate and cookies (both different every day!) and wine. My favorite touch was a homemade brownie waiting for us when we checked into our room - delicious!"
