Yet it is only 5 minutes drive to a very pleasant low key sandy beach with two seaside restaurants and a lovely byzantine church on the waterfront. There is a small mini market and restaurant in Skoutari a few ks away but best to get supplies in one of the bigger towns like Gythieo or Sparta. "I had a wonderful five weeks at Rachi Boza. Kostas is a great landlord and his parents were warm and kind. His mother regularly brought me delicious food from her kitchen and treated me like a family member. The house is amidst the most wondrous garden of flowers, trees and fruits I’ve ever seen. "Anaxo Resort isn’t super easy to get to but it is well worth the effort. It’s not hard to get to really, the road is a little narrow and windy but manageable It is a gorgeous place. The rooms are equipped with a small kitchen and the beds and showers are super comfy. The staff is great - super friendly and helpful. The pool and the bar are fantastic. "
