I took me a good 2 minutes to come up with at least one thing that I didn't like. And, that was their chocolate cake. So, out of everything if the only thing I won't like about my stay is the chocolate cake... then I am really staying at a 5 star. Also, this hotel is SUPER CLEAN and you can smell how could it is before you even enter the hotel.

We really enjoyed our 9 night stay at the Fuerte, staff were very nice (a special thank you to Georges for being so kind and helpful to us), we were always made to feel welcome, from the restaurant staff to the attendants at the front door. Breakfast buffet was wonderful and the hotel is very conveniently located. The only let down was the beach in front of the hotel, once you are in the water, the ocean floor has large rocks that make it a real challenge. There was also a lot of seaweed the week we were there, I know it’s not something the hotel can control, but it was a damper on our otherwise great week.

Terrific hotel

Fabulous upgrade since last I stayed there. Cannot fault hotel or staff who were most helpful and accommodating. Nothing too much trouble. Only downside of our stay was the weather Will definitely return.

Amazing hotel

Amazing hotel in fantastic location / staff were exceptionally kind and helpful - quality spa, restaurant, roof top bar and loved the 2 pools with jacuzzi! It’s a must see and my first trip to Marbella ~ will be returning soon..

A beautiful modern beachfront hotel just a 5 min stroll away from Marbella old town. Minor hiccups: at check in they said we’d have complimentary daily half liter water, the next day they said this was just a one off for the first day, then the day after they changed that again. The breakfast buffet is great, but the ham they call “iberico de bellota” is clearly “Serrano” (much cheaper) instead, based on color, texture, lack of marbling, flavor etc

This is a great resort. We stayed 3 nights. We booked a Junior Suite with frontal ocean view and it was totally worth the price. We had a large balcony with its own jacuzzi and a very spacious room with very comfortable bed. Everything at this resort is to notch. The included breakfast was also fabulous and it was served in an indoor/outdoor setting with views of the beach. It was the perfect relaxing way to start each morning.

This hotel is the best in Marbella! From the second we arrived to the second we checked out, our experience was second to none. This is a true 5 star hotel and is truly exquisite. An easy access to beach across the street from hotel and private hotek beach section w food and beverage service. Nice ocean view from room, bathroom could use some update/ upkeep. Terrible customer service in numerous areas such as reception and dining by many staff members. An excessively long wait for the room to be prepared and guests who arrived after us were serviced ahead of us. Certain waiters didn't even provide the special menus we were entitled to due to the level of resources we paid for for.

The information on the web site regarding different rooms are not accurate. We reserved a room with City View (important to have open view) and what they offered us was a room with wall view about 15 ft of an old and ugly building. When we explained that we expected a city view and they said rudely that “This what we mean by City View”. We were very tired after driving for many hours and the front staff not very welcoming and telling us that you can cancel if you like. Totally unexpected from a five star hotel. The Concierge staff NOT helpful at all and really not experienced to be a concierge staff. Polite but NOT helpful at all.
