"We really enjoyed our stay at In the Shade Hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The pool is lovely, warm and relaxing. We only had breakfast there one day but it was very tasty and fresh. The room was comfortable. Excellent location, just a short walk to the beach and many great restaurants, coffee shops and stores. I would recommend staying here."

"The whole place was spotless and staff were wonderful. Usually we stay close to the water but in tamarindo that means being in the noisier part of town. So we opted for this place and used their shuttle to go back and forth. Loved the tranquility, the views of the ocean and the visit from the group of monkeys right at eye level off the back deck. "We loved our stay at Tamarindo Village Hotel. My family chose one of the rooms with a second bedroom loft. It was located at the top of the hotel on a hill. I felt like I was in the jungle, removed from the tourists of town, yet we were very close (walking distance) to shops/grocery/restaurants and the beach. My favorite was that we had a private small dipping pool on our deck. Monkeys were playing in the trees daily. A large variety of birds were present as well. The entire property was very clean and well maintained. The owners keep the appliances up to date and the kitchenette was perfectly stocked with everything I needed but not too much. The breakfast was lovely. $7 for an ample amount of delicious food, or the buffet items are complementary. I love peaceful simplicity when I travel, and Tamarindo Village Hotel exceeded my expectations. We would be lucky to stay again."
