Okay... Pretty much Camping with a Roof

Stayed for a few days. Didn't really know what to expect. Place seemed safe. Shower sucked-- shower head never really hit your body right, the mat for the floor was terrible. Ended up using a bunch of towels to not slip in bathroom. They replenished you with a whole lot of towels so that was good. Microwave and stove tops only-- sometimes it worked sometimes it didn't. We stayed in cabin 6 and the A/C just wasn't cutting it. It would run all through the day but only really got cold for an hour in the morning. The separate rooms were nice and beds were comfy. The appeal here is the pool. To note the pool is covered for majority of the day by a few large trees which means you swim in the shade. Although sme chairs and parts of the deck were in need of some repairs the kids were able to enjoy the water. You share it with whomever else is there which could be a good or bad thing depending on how many people are staying. You can see the water from the back of the property, but it is just a marina. You cannot touch the lake. There is another small park down past the cottages that you can get onto a beach and touch water. There are not many places to hang beach clothes to dry other than outside over a picnic table. There is one hook in bathroom and a shower bar. Location was good. Few minutes from the state park and Kelley's Island Ferry. A 20ish minute drive to Put-In-Bays ferry. Again it was just okay.

If you are looking for a cute home-away-from-home I would recommend Little Ted’s Cottages. As a family of 5 this was perfect. Everyone had their own bed and it was cozy. The pool was very nice and there are plenty of free beaches, fishing spots, sites to see, and shopping within a few minutes drive.

These units are simple, and comfortable. There were no frills but it was safe and had plenty of stuff to do right on the property. Fishing piers were very near by and the onsite pool and fire pits filled up our downtime. I would recommend this to families and couples as a simple retreat that is close to everything!
Pier is about a mile down the street with awesome views of sunrises and sunsets. Also good fishing!
Plenty of space for coffee and euchre in the morning.
Campfire with a big grassy area for the kids to play.

Perfect getaway

My grandson had a great time in the pool which was very clean. The campground itself is also very clean and tidy. The cottage was roomy enough for all four if us and the dog. We would stay here again

Teds was close enough to anything but far enough to be away from craziness. A good value for families wanting to see the sights around the Port Clinton Cedar Point area. Pool was clean and the byob tiki bar was fun. We would go back. Nothing too fancy but still a fun place to stay.

There was a very homey feeling. The people who run the place are helpful and accommodating. It was quiet and peaceful, had no problem sleeping. The property was clean and well kept. Only thing to mention is flat pillows - bring your own, but that was my only issue and that's an easy fix.

We were attending my step sons wedding up on Kelley's Island, so we did not sspwnd much time at the cabin. But, for the time we were there, it was a pleasant experience, and I will recommend Little Ted's to my friends and family.

Our unit was dirty. Towels looked unwashed. Air conditioning was hardly working on a hot and humid 90 degree day. The staff was less than helpful and very disinterested in good customer service.

The cottage was spacious and clean. What disappointed me was when we arrived the AC was running but it was still warm inside. I quickly realized the heat was on. The stove is way outdated and knobs for the burners were missing. The freezer worked great! Fridge barely worked at all. Like i said at the beginning it was clean and spacious but we wont be staying again

Glorified trailer park, no privacy whatsoever, it was supposed to have private patio and/or a garden, there was none if that, and cottages are way too close to each other. We brought grilling supplies, but grill was broken, new one was promised to be installed the next day, but it was not. Was hot inside the cabin, old A/C was noisy, but did not reach to the bedrooms. But if you are looking for an inexpensive option for a large group - this will work. We will stay elsewhere next time.

When we got there, the cottage was flooded. They said that they would take care of it. We left to look around the town and while we were gone, I got a text that they would have the cleaning crew see what they could do the next morning. When we got back, the office was closed (5:30), so we left the key and a note and left to go home. Three hours away. It was a disaster.

Weekend Getaway

We loved everything about Little Ted's Cottages! Amazing location, nice pool, fire pits and amenities, and the kindest, sweetest staff over any place I've ever stayed. The cottage was roomy, updated and comfortable, everything we needed was there. It was very safe and security was on site. He made us feel welcome and was so kind and friendly! The cottage and grounds were very clean. We will definitely stay here every time we visit the Lake Erie area. Little Ted's more than exceeded our expectations! Highly recommend! It was a great place to relax!
