"If I could rate this hotel less than one star I would. We arrived late at night. It is a self check in hotel. I had issues finding the check in. My husband & I carried our 1st bags up. We opened the door to discover the room had not been made up, and that was the least of it, the room had not even been cleaned since the last person was there! The floor was covered in dirt, there was personal garbage in the bathroom garbage, there was hair in the sink, and the shower has a skim of scum on it. When I made the bed, I notice the comforter was stained and disgusting, burn marks and other stains. The shower was rusty, & when my husband & I went to get our suitcases, the card stopped working for the door and locked us out of our room. The card recharge that another client showed us didn't work. The hallways smelled and the smell of smoke in the hotel was strong. Then to top everything off, I woke up the next morning covered in bug bites, both arms and legs, my husband was the same and I had 3 on my face!!! Bed bug bites, I discovered after research! Which I later had to fumigated our luggage, our belongings and spend hours in a laundry mat washing all our clothes in hot water and drying in hot dryer till they were burning hot to get rid of them. I have not ever encountered them before and it was a nightmare that I will not ever forget. I had found what I thought were apple seeds on the mattress, and just figured it was another sign of the room not being cleaned properly!"
"What a quaint little town! Maintenon is a wonderful spot to visit that has this fabulous hotel. Situated right next to Chateau de Maintenon, it’s easy walking to great outdoor cafes, restaurants, and a pretty park. The hotel itself is lovely. Great staff, delicious food at the restaurant, indoor pool with outdoor lounging area, and an amazing spa. "
"The property location, with views of the Seine River below, was excellent. All of the amenities were first class and our meals were excellent. We really enjoyed our stay and the nearby Monet Gardens!"
"Excellent stopping off hotel on our way south and returning north.
Superb staff, comfortable, albeit small room and good breakfast.
Easy reach of the town centre and the autoroute.
We have used plenty of Ibis hotels before and will use this one again."
"Used the hotel as a stop over. Hotel is very clean and bed was fairly comfortable. Hotel location was great next to a selection of restaurants which was very convenient. "
"AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
We should have known something was off from the state of the building and car park. The cars all look abandoned and many have flat tyres. The hotel is like something from a horror film. Mostly unlit and feels abandoned and run down.
As two females we immediately felt unsafe. This was expounded when the man on reception charged us more than the agreed price and we felt too intimidated to argue.
We were shown to a room at the fair end of the hotel on a dingy corridor. The door looked like it had been jimmyed open with a crowbar at some point, the latch was loose and the door didn't lock from the inside.
We asked to be moved rooms and were put in one nearer reception. We spoke to the receptionist and asked him to show us that the door couldn't be opened with the keycard when the door was locked from the inside. We put our bags on our beds and went to dinner.
When we returned our bags had been moved and something had changed with the lock because you could open it from the outside with the keycard even if the door was locked from the inside so we didn't feel safe.
We went to reception and said we didn't feel safe and didn't want to stay. The receptionist wouldn't refund us and phoned the manager who was abusive on the phone to us so we left.
The following morning we returned to give the keycard back and get a refund. They refused because 'we'd booked online' even though we'd paid by card at the hotel.
There is very wrong with this hotel. AVOID"
"Very convenient location, clean and quite when working in Epernon’s area. Bathroom is great and large desk with enough sockets to plug in laptops etc."
