"This was a wonderful stay in a beautiful building and grounds. We stayed in ‘The Princess’s Room’ which is glorious. Full length embroidered silk curtains and lovely feature detailing. It is not the room to choose if you want a ‘normal’ easy access shower; it’s original 1920’s fittings are a very large enamel bath (good for two) and a hand held only shower head. Located 5 minutes walk from the train and bus station, the room was decorated with great care and was super comfortable and clean.
