"Ask for room with a view and if on ground level great to be able to sit out on terrace area looking at lake. Great location for accessing Cabot Trail and gown of Baddeck. Quaint hotel and town. So worth the visit. "

"I spent 5 days in Cape Breton and this was by far the best hotel I stayed at. Most of the other lodging options, especially deeper/father north into the park are “rustic” - stained tubs due to mineral water, cranky AC, mattresses that dip in the middle from heavy use. The Telegraph was none of those things. The rooms were modern on the inside and the staff was very friendly. Please stay here, you won’t regret it. "
