L’espace salle de bain et chambre est assez réduit à la manière d’un chalet de montagne mais suffisant pour 3. À l’extérieur une pergola abrite une table et un barbecue et deux petits canapés. Une très bonne idée pour profiter de l’immense terrain arboré. Les grandes chaleurs sont estompées par la couverture des arbres et l’eau du lac parfait pour la baignade. "The hotel is set in a rural area although it’s on a main route through the area. There is a beautiful tranquil lake at the rear of the hotel where you can have a quiet, easy peaceful walk and spot the abundant fish and admire the various tall trees. There are small beaches too. The hotel rooms were really good with new fixtures and fittings. I couldn’t fault the rooms. The staff are very friendly and very helpful. Similarly the food and service were great. Despite having a bus full of tourists to feed, the staff seemed to manage the service efficiently. I think this hotel would be an excellent location as a base for exploring this outstanding region. For motorcyclists keen to park their machines in a safe area, the staff offered me the chance to park directly at the hotel entrance which was partially shrouded in decorative tall plants and within view of the night staff. I thank the hotel for making this kind, unrequested offer. It’s clear the hotel is prepared to go just that little bit further. In summary, I shall return to this hotel."

"Location bien située entre la Bourboule et le Mont Dore à 200 mètres d'un supermarché ( pratique !)Un peu prés de la route mais le double vitrage est efficaceLa décoration et le style intérieur sont datés mais les photos annoncent la couleur. Sauf pour la cuisine qui a été refaite entièrement et qui très bien équipée. En revanche l'unique salle de bain est vraiment pas pratique. Trop petite, porte qui s'ouvre dans le mauvais sens.Pour manger à l'extérieur, il y a un espace au calme mais idéalement, des travaux seraient nécessaires pour faire une grande terrasse plus fonctionnelle et agréable.Des chaises longues neuves et un barbecue tout aussi neuf étaient à disposition.LE point positif de cette location reste l'immense jardin où les enfants ont pu courir, crier, jouer jusqu'à la nuit tombée en toute sécurité. Nous regrettons simplement une structure métallique non entretenue où ils ont évidemment joué mais d'où ils auraient pu éventuellement chuté. A la place, une belle balançoire aurait été bienvenue, surtout avec un tel immense jardin. En conclusion, le confort aurait pu être meilleur mais le séjour globalement s'est très bien passé avec une hôte trés réactive et sympathique. Avec des enfants, l'immense jardin clôturé reste un énorme plus. Une deco et un ameublement revu ( mais on le savait !), une SDB plus grande et ce serait parfait mais pas au même prix ! Donc rapport qualité/prix favorable pour une bonne semaine en toute simplicité"

"Tres chouette gîte situé dans un paysage magnifique. Gîte isolé très calme ou seule la nature nous entoure. La vue depuis le gîte est juste magnifique. Le gîte est spacieux et confortable. Tout le nécessaire pour passer un chouette séjour s'y trouve. Nous y avons vraiment passé une merveilleuse semaine. Et le propriétaire est très sympas et disponible et de bons conseils."

"The check-in staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. The room and bathroom were clean, the bed comfortable, plenty of storage space and there was a desk with a chair - useful for working. The hotel is at the eastern end of the main street so it is a stroll to the shops and restaurants - of which there are many. Altogether a good place to stay when visiting La Bourboule."
