"Visited home on Memorial Day weekend. Cannot say enough great things. Location: Lake James is very large, deep lake, but with state park and camping facilities on a large portion, the houses are limited compared to other lakes and crowds are very light. Owners were proactive and responsive in the communication. View and access to the lake is great, with the shoreline mostly shaded in the afternoon and pretty quiet all the way around. Really close to the Highway but you can't hear the noise at all. It's definitely secluded which we liked but pretty close to downtown Morganton. Thank you for hosting us!"

"We really enjoyed our stay at this mountain home! The home has useable land around it which meant we were able to throw the football and run around some. My kids enjoyed running up and down the small hill in the backyard. The best part about the yard is the firefly show that happens at night. Impressive! The inside of the home is comfortable and clean. The huge windows in the family room were perfect for watching a thunder storm move through the area. We would definitely visit again."

"Absolutely loved the property! Jennifer was an amazing host! Home was well appointed and clean and beds super cozy. It was quite a steep walk to the lake....but worth it. "Our family members traveled from around the eastern US to celebrate Thanksgiving together. Our youngest was 9 months and our oldest was 90 years. The house was perfect for all of us!! We loved the decks, the indoor and outdoor fireplaces, the grill, the view, the location and the accommodations. Karen, the manager, could not have been more helpful and responsive. "The property itself is lovely. The house was roomy, and perfect for a retreat. I did not feel the house was deeply cleaned. Opened the door to go outside, and wads of lint came out from under the sofa from the breeze. Obviously not vacuumed in awhile! "We went to do some hiking, the property was in a great location within an hour of all of the places we wanted to go ( Crabtree falls, Chimney Rock, Tom’s falls). Loved the Linville winery. The owners left plenty of toilet paper, trash bags, cleaning supplies, etc. The kitchen was well equipped. All of the bedrooms were very comfortable. Loved the game room and views from the porch!"
