"What a place !!!!! Exactly what we needed before we knew we needed it. Staff was outstanding, friendly and accommodating. Do not let the name of the cafe fool you (June Bug Cafe). The food and selection was 5 star. We ate every meal there. They even offer sack lunches to go. Bed was super comfortable, the room was roomy and included an outdoor porch with 2 chairs and a table. Location to Yosemite was perfect. Approx 30 minutes to the east entrance off of 140 A diamond in the rough you do not want to miss."

"The property was perfect for our group of 3 families, which was 6 adults and 6 kids ranging from 8-15. There were enough rooms for all the parents to have their own rooms, 4 kids used the bunk beds, and one teenager had one room with the other using a sofa bed.Plenty of room for everybody to have space, but also privacy when needed. We didn't use the pool, but the kids used the hot tub one of the nights after a full day of hiking. We completely missed out on the game room, so don't forget to check it out on the ground floor if you book.We didn't check out any local restaurants because we didn't have to. We either reheated the food we brought or cooked. The grocery store we went to was about 20 min away. There's also a Tesla Supercharger at that grocery store if any folks need EV charging.The neighbors had a beautiful horse and two ponies. The horse was very gentle and would let the kids pet him.Thanks again to Beth who was a wonderful host and answered any questions we had before and during our stay."

"We had a wonderful 2 nights stay at this dog friendly cottage. Inside was spacious , clean, and nicely decorated with a well equipped kitchen. The owner was very responsive and communication was easy. Please note the exterior is rustic and not manicured. The interior was excellent and we highly recommend it."

"On the positive side: Bed comfortable, room basically clean, efficient mini split to heat/cool, parking in front of room Hot shower and excellent water pressure On the negative side: Interior: No staff on site Room key in door to check in No security type lock on door Dark rooms - 3 old table lamps and 1 ceiling light with dim bulbs for 2 rooms - only shower/toilet area had bright led lights - 2 of 4 bulbs over bathroom vanity burned out The thinnest 1 ply toilet paper ever seen - public toilets do better. No room clean up with 3 night stay - no trash removal, towel refresh, replace coffee pods (we had our own thankfully) Furniture worn - wood damaged from water needs refinish or better replace all - old and worn. Only one chair in room with 2 bed “suite” No rack for suitcase or dresser for clothes/ had to use one table Interior wood trim and doors need refinishing - very scratched. Exterior: Needs painting Plants need trimming Dead plants removed Broken plant pots Roof tiles on ground Needs sweeping/ blower on regular basis Overall: Owners need to invest time and money back into what could be a charming lodge if cleaned up and updated. Keep the rustic charm in and out but the impression is owners don’t care about this property as long as it generates income. Several other hotels/ lodges in Mariposa would be better choice."
