"Mariposa Lodge was such a unique little stop on our two-week road trip honeymoon. It almost felt like a couple of rows of little efficiency apartments rather than a traditional hotel, which gave it a lot of character. The lady who checked us in had the best personality! She was incredibly friendly and helpful, giving us recommendations on where to eat as well as directions and information about the area. She made a great first impression and really added to the experience. The buildings are older, but they feel well loved and cared for rather than simply run-down. Our room was comfortable, and the bed was comfortable enough after a long day of traveling. I also loved one thoughtful little touch in the bathroom. There was a note addressing possible outside noise along with a small package of disposable earplugs. We didn't end up needing them, but I thought it was a really nice touch and showed that they were thinking about their guests. My only real complaint was the size of the bathroom—particularly the shower. The bathroom itself is tiny, but you don't really need much room to use the toilet or wash your hands, so that wasn't a big deal. The shower, however, had to be about 3x3 feet, if that. The shower head was mounted high and didn't adjust, so at 5'4", I was basically getting sprayed directly in the face with nowhere to escape! 😂 On the plus side, the water pressure was great! "Very comfortable home and super secluded which is exactly what we wanted but just close enough to Yosemite for daily hikes. The stars from the backyard (if you unplug the yard lights) were incredible! I’ve never seen the Milky Way so clearly! Definitely recommend!"
