"Easy and efficient check-in. Friendly professional receptionist. Good sized rooms and well equipped. Only negative I can mention was our evening dining experience. Stood for at least 10 minutes waiting to be seated which was hard for my elderly father and as we were only people waiting. All young waiting and bar staff who seemed quite inexperienced. Poor knowledge of the menu, brought out the wrong wine . Were friendly and trying hard, maybe they were short staffed but food wasn't as good as expected for the prices they are charging. I was a chef for 20 years and was disappointed with the lamb. Quite chewy and vegetables were swimming in water. 75 quid for 2 mains and cheapest bottle of wine. Wouldn't go back for dinner but hotel was very good . "

"A real find - clean room with plenty of space and a nice view of the gardens. The food was a real highlight - if i lived locally i would make a point of going there for a meal regularly. Breakfasts were fine - standard hotel stuff. All staff very friendly and helpful. "
