"We really enjoyed our stay here, the property was well equipped with everything you needed for a comfortable stay. I do think the property does need updating a little and it would have been nice if the hot tub had been filled on arrival, the hot tub also needs a cover as unless you like cold feb rain wouldn’t have been enjoyable. "

The cottage was plenty big enough for 4 of us but we found that the cleanliness was not up to our standards. "A gem of a cottage which had been restored to a really high standard. Comfy beds, well equipped kitchen, log burner with plenty of wood and loved all the decor/pictures throughout. A welcome basket with local goodies was also a nice touch. We loved the folder full of the history on the property and all the pictures of the other houses/buildings in the village which we went to find on our walks with our dog. Would highly recommend. "

"needed a well needed rest after a busy year.After a long search of hotels around york we found this beautiful cottage just outside york,and needless to say it was just what we needed.lovely cottaged estate.we booked the 3 bedroomed cottage,fairview i think it was called.beautiful inside and out.no expense spared on the inside,very relaxing.we are already thinking about booking next year.would highly recommend."

"The cottage was amazing, access gained easily when we arrived. The property was nice and clean and well presented. We travelled with 2yr old twins and 1 cot was provided and 2 high chairs which was brilliant for us as we were able to bring our own travel cot as well. Plenty of room for the four of us. information on shops and local amenities was good. As guests we had access to a large grassed area with a climbing frame, also there was a veg patch and chickens as well. All in all a brilliant...

"Good location but property not as described. Hot water runs for 10 seconds; can’t take a bath. Windows permanently condensated and mouldy - curtains also with mould. Carpet dirty - needs replacing!"
