We were very pleasantly surprised by our stay at Burg Colmberg. We had wanted a hotel with old world charm but were not expecting such modern amenities in the rooms, too! The setting itself is lovely and the castle is fun to wander through as there are interesting public rooms to explore. From the moment we pulled up, the staff was very welcoming and helpful. The manager Filip was very kind and knowledgeable! The dining experience was absolutely superb. If I could give more stars, I would. He had very excellent wine pairings and was very helpful when we had questions. Helped us with our bags up and down the stairs. He even valeted the German super car we rented! Michael also made our breakfast experience smooth and easy. The staff is so friendly and attentive to their guests. My only regret is that we didn’t stay longer!

Great location! Rothenberg is not a easy place to park and this hotel has parking spaces which makes visiting Rothenburg for more than a day trip feasible. Friendly staff, really felt like we were guests visiting friends and family in their home, not a hotel space or generic feeling. Very quaint and lots of character. Would stay here again. Wish we would have stayed longer!

Had a wonderful stay here. Walking distance to the main train station and very walkable to every thing. Staff was incredible, helpful and kind. Shout out to Francesco who made our stay very special with his kindness. Free laundry on premises was a bonus
