The Inn location was excellent for the funeral home. The room full filled all our needs. The restaurant Victoria was an awesome host/plus great food for our group of 20. It also included an indoor pool for the kids.

The host was waiting for me at check in. Very friendly gave me a tour of the property and said "this is your home for the next few days your welcome to enjoy it all" Very clean and nicely appointed. Excellent location right off Main road.

Lovely staff that are very friendly and helpful. They go out of their way to help; even moving a guests car with permission while we ate dinner due to the snow! Great restaurant that had just opened the week prior. Overall a fantastic stay. I’ll stay here again any time I am in town.

Family stay in rural Ontario

A very welcoming stay to a beautiful Edwardian colonial-style house with plenty of original features such as staircase and rich wooden doors and panelling. Well heated and comfortable room and, essential for any good hotel stay, a nice hot shower! Simple but plentiful breakfast and very convenient off-street parking.

Was somewhat disappointed. Restaurant not open for either dinner or breakfast. No one there for checkout. Had character but was shabby and dark. Indoor Pool area was overheated and extra charges augmented the price considerably from the one advertised. Needs better decor and upgrades to be an appealing hotel.

This unique 120 year old house has so much charm and character. The furnishings are almost all authentic and the service I received was sincere. If I'm ever back in the area, I will definitely stay there again.

It was a nice stay in the upper room. Only con was the person who woke up at 3am and started using the microwave and keurig right outside my room (my room butted up to the kitchen). Luckily I was able to get back to sleep. All and all, a nice stay.

First of all, was to have been booked for two nights. It's my fault that I didn't check my confirmation carefully enough, but when I saw that my rate was more doubled on the total I assumed that it was for two nights. Booked this establishment based on price shopping on Expedia. My member credit was for $90 off the posted price and that reduced the room price to $127. The total posted on my confirmation was for $241.04 (and I later discovered that did not include the $50 Resort fee to be paid on site). One would think that was for two nights but this "INN" charges $113.57 for taxes and fees, PLUS $44.25 Resort Fee PLUS $5.75 "taxes" for a total of $163.57 in additional fees! For ONE NIGHT! All that for my room with the uncomfortable bed, clunking and non-functional A/C unit, dirty fridge and stained bedding. An offer was made for a smaller room with hard-as-a-rock bunk bed was declined - not even for a vacant similar room. No breakfast available, on a weekday, until 9am. long after my business meeting start of 7:30. I have been in contact with Expedia regarding my extreme disappointment, but as we all know, buyer beware. My fault. But I won't be making the same mistake at this place ever again!

The listing on hotel.com site is outdated and inaccurate. The Inn has recently been sold to a new owner and no longer has a restaurant or lounge which previous reviewers raved about and the primary reason we booked here. We only found out about these changes when checking in. This meant that we were limited to what was available in the town - mainly pizza joints. The offering is not the hot breakfast as listed but rather a limited “buffet” of bagels, cereal, fruit and muffins. The most disturbing issue of the listing is the misleading price of the rooms. In addition to the listed room price, there is an additional fee of $60 that is added at time of completing the reservation with no explanation as to what it was for. When we asked at the hotel upon checking out, the staff member could not explain it. We have no complaints about our room which was clean, quiet and the staff member (Michelle) was helpful and obliging. Unfortunately the extra cost and absence of a restaurant made the + $300 expense rather excessive and disappointing for what we received. 6/10

La propriété fut jadis un bel endroit, malheureusement elle est laissée à l'abandon depuis quelques années. Les photos ne correspondent plus à la réalité. Fissures présentes, piscine désuète, lit brisé, draps sales et non changés, lavabo fuyant, moisissure dans certaines pièces et portes qui ne barrent pas.

hidden Gem eat and sleep

Let me begin by saying that this place is a gem! I absolutely loved the owners Cathy and Rui! They were friendly super accommodating, after the first encounter I felt like Cathy and I had known each other forever! I had a private room shared bath and the room was large and very clean and well made. The bathroom was a wee bit small but had all the necessities and work great! The house was very interesting lots of art and very full, your eyes always saw something different and if you have an opportunity to chat with the owner there is an interesting story to go with the art! I decided to have dinner there and Oh my goodness it was delicious, beyond my expectations! I left so full because I did not want to leave a morsel behind. Everything I ate was full of flavour and very fresh. I highly recommend the dining experience! Breakfast was also excellent and you wonder how anyone can make bacon and eggs taste so good! Try this place it’s awesome!
