"The castle is beautiful, located in a charming little village. The room was clean, quiet, bed comfortable. It has a relatively small bathroom with small shower located in a corner. The toilets are separated to the right of the fire place. We did not eat at the restaurant because we were not hungry enough. The menu only offered expensive choices. No coffee machine or mini fridge in the room. "

"I am a bit biased as this chateau was the home of one of my ancestors in the 16th century. I took my 85 year old father there with other members of our family for about a week. It was an excellent base for our side trips to Poitiers, Tours and La Rochelle. In several rooms, here are copies of a well researched book (in French) telling the amazing history of the chateau. "We had a wonderful time. Stephane met our early arrivals to let them in and the whole party of 24 - great grandparents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins all enjoyed the lovely pool and grounds- with plenty of space for cricket, badminton and board games. Stephane was very helpful when the dishwasher didn’t work- coming up to replace it immediately. We had wonderful weather and really enjoyed Kayaking in Lusignan. We would love to return"
