5/5 Excellent
"What a Greek experience! This family-run, hotel is like stepping back into a more simple, regal time.
This is a stay for those willing to slow down, immerse themselves in Greek culture and enjoy a more basic experience. If you enjoy character, personality and good people this is for you. The amenities are very simple but adequate. The hotel is a bit like a museum with beautiful antiques and architectural flourish. The rooms have balconies with sea views and AC. Sure the hot water only comes on during the time of day when people bathe, but it’s rustic. Don’t come to this hotel if you expect every convenience and luxury, come for the experience and the family.
We were lucky to be there for Greek night, when musicians come for dinner and the old patriarch of the family sings and dances. The festivities lasted late into the night. A true Greek experience. The food was authentic Greek and delicious. There is poolside service for snacks and drinks.
The hotel is run by two generations and everyone was warm and friendly. They went out of their way to accommodate us.
Step back in time, slow down and enjoy what is important in life, the experience, but, don’t come looking for Egyptian cotton bedding and day spa services. "
