"We loved our stay at this property. The hosts were so friendly and welcoming. They provided us with a delicious dinner on out first night and waking up to breakfast each morning was such a treat. Everything is home made and fresh! I also had a lovely massage which I would highly recommend. The pool area is relaxing and picturesque, while our gite had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We hope we can come backa again soon, "

"We had an excellent stay at Aux Boris de Marquay. Natalie and Erik were wonderful hosts and made great recommendations for places to visit in the area. The accommodations were great, bed was very comfortable, the flowers and grounds were absolutely beautiful.
We highly recommend this place even though it is a short drive to the town and surrounding castles and gardens. Marquaysaac Gardens was very impressive.
We would definitely stay here again."

"The Maison de Tari is a perfect place to stay for families looking to explore the area around Sarlat.
We stayed in a family room with three small children and it suited us perfectly. All rooms had a separate outside sitting area with a large table. It had a good sized pool, a separate communal cooking and dining area, including a gas BBQ and a fridge. A great continental breakfast was provided that included fresh pastries from the local bakery, and a selection of local jams, cheeses and meats....

Very good location! Character house with private access to the river
10/10 Excellent
"The house is situated on the Dordogne River. All amenities are available, including a cozy wood-burning stove. The owner is very kind and hospitable."
"The hotel is absolutely beautiful, with stunning grounds. The common areas are elegant and inviting, perfect for relaxing or enjoying a quiet moment. The staff were attentive, friendly, and always ready to help, making our stay even more enjoyable. i would recommend staying in the main building. The outer buildings are not as nice. A wonderful experience from start to finish!"
Rental Residence with 2 swimming pools, jacuzzi, sauna, billiards
8/10 Good
"This house was great for a big family holiday with plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. Having 2 pools was great. We used the indoor one most as the outdoor one was unheated and therefore cold in September. It was also green on arrival and never quite got completely clean. The indoor pool was great and the adults did use the hot tub and sauna . The sitting room was great with pool table and table football. The kitchen had all the equipment that was needed. The house has been well used and could do with some maintenance . This did mean that with a big family party we could behave like we were in our own house so it was very relaxing . Very peaceful countryside setting . Lovely patio to sit and eat outside. Nearest baker is 5 minutes by car. Gourdon is the nearest town with a supermarket (15 min), Sarlat 30 min. Canoeing on the Dordogne in Grolejac 20 minutes . There is also a nice lake there . "
"House and pool spotlessly clean. House had every thing you needed. The lack of shade around the pool was disappointing one small umbrella is not enough for a family. Unfortunately we had a lot of rain although it was warm so nowhere to sit outside was a sleight problem, and we found the sitting inside very uncomfortable and again not really for a family. The house was in an ideal location and in some amazing countryside"
Luxury renovation of an ancient stone barn in a medieval bastide village
10/10 Excellent
"We had a fantastic week in Adam’s converted barn in Montcabrier. The property has been adapted to a very high spec, is spacious and well appointed. The terrace affords great views over the surrounding countryside and of the pool in the garden below. Montcabrier itself is a lovely bastide village with a church, medieval fortifications and, crucially, a boulangerie! We spent our week sightseeing (Chateau de Bonaguil a highlight), hiking (there are several great walks clearly marked starting from the village square), visiting vineyards (Ch. du Cedre is quality) and browsing markets (Prayssac on a Friday was the best). We mostly cooked for ourselves with the produce garnered from the local markets, but did treat ourselves to what proved to be a fantastic meal at Le Loup Blanc in St. Martin Le Redon (only 5 minutes away by car). All in all a lovely relaxing week in beautiful surroundings."
