This Haussman apartment refurbished in 2011 brings together eras. The luxury of the volumes, the richness of the ornaments, the comfort of modernity, the elegance of the furniture.
180m² of surface offering a large living / dining room of 65m², bedrooms of 28m² on average, 2 bathrooms, a large very well equipped kitchen, all under 4m70 of ceiling. The Napoleon III moldings, the old marquetry of the bedrooms and the original French windows add to the charm.

The apartment is located in the heart of the city (kilometer zero from Marseille), 800m from the old port, Saint Charles train station (Paris is now only 3:06 am) and the Saint Charles Tunnel, thus giving access to d 'Aix en Provence in 25 minutes, then Cassis and the airport in 30 minutes.

It has all the means of transport nearby with Metro, Bus and Tram within 50m, as well as a car rental agency as a neighbor and public parking in front of the door. There is even the Maritime shuttle to the islands and beaches at 600m. The other neighbor is a Super U. Then you will find around 40m a pharmacy, a bar with a sun terrace, the Plauchut bakery, the trendy Brasserie des Danaïdes, the Post Office, the two best Pizzeria in Marseille (Chez Noel and Picone).

Finally, for those who like cultural outings, the Theaters of the Odéon is 40m away, the Gymnasium at 200m, the Bernardines at 300m and that of the Criée, with the Marseille Opera are at 15mn walk. The walk from the apartment to the famous MUCEM museum will take you across the Canebière, the Old Port, the Intercontinental Hotel, Avenue de la République, the old Panier district, the marina, the footbridge and Fort Saint Jean, Place d'Armes and finally MUCEM.
The whole historic center is available to you, but with every conceivable means of transport to escape in the blink of an eye.

More specifically, the apartment is composed as follows:
- a foyer with 4 cinema seats which distributes on 3 doors facing you and a staircase to the first bedroom
- the 3 doors are: 1 WC, 1 bathroom with a large bathtub, 1 utility room with the washing machine and household products
- the airlock stairs lead to a mezzanine bedroom. With a low ceiling and warm decoration, it is all in privacy but open to the rest of the apartment thanks to bay windows. A 140cm bed and a small piece of furniture for your business await you.
- to the right of the airlock, a monumental door which leads to a 65m2 lounge. With 4 large windows and 4.7m ceiling, it is bright and grand. A beautiful wooden parquet floor, Napoleon III moldings, an old vintage wooden bank for an aperitif, a television hidden in a piece of furniture, a huge mirror and a dining table that can comfortably accommodate 6 people. The shooting balcony will allow you to get some fresh air and have a drink in front of the Odéon theater, the Reformed church and the war memorial.
Behind two other doors is the kitchen, long and wide, fully equipped, bright, with a table to have breakfasts for 6 without sitting at the table.
- on the other side of the airlock, a smaller door distributes the two largest bedrooms in the house. In this airlock, a large storage cupboard.
- the first bedroom on the right is a large master suite. A 160cm bed on a parquet floor dating from the last century, Napoleon III moldings and 2 large windows that overlook an interior courtyard and an exterior corridor, very quiet. A mezzanine / cloakroom is present but closed to leave our belongings there. Below, a bathroom with WC, shower and sink, antique mirror and brown tiling. A large closet. Total independence.
- the other bedroom is the so-called 'children's room'. It also in old parquet, it is simply furnished with modern white furniture and an old cupboard, it also offers a changing table for newborns.
A staircase leads to the mezzanine, open at the bottom, which offers three 80cm beds and a small storage unit. In contact with the ceiling moldings, this space has a very special charm.

For general convenience, all rooms are air conditioned / heated independently of each other. The linen can be dried in the outer passageway of the back bedrooms. The rooms are very quiet. The parking space is 50m in the basement. A Super Marché is below with late opening hours, so very practical. Pharmacy, bakery, butchers, post office, bar, restaurants, copy space and photos .... are all 50m away, with public transport and the motorway.

Good but a couple of challenges
Location very convenient with shops, bars and bus, tram and metro transport options within a couple of minutes walk, and great view of church and square but be aware it is run down with graffiti and people on streets. Fabulous architecture in building with well equipped kitchen and living space which we enjoyed using, However 2 of 3 bedrooms on mezzanine floors. 2nd double room on mezzanine is accessed by steep stairs with no form of banister or support to hold which did not feel very safe to us, especially if needed to use in night to access toilet. Although says housekeeping provided we were there for 2 weeks and had to agree separately that they would attend to change bedding etc after a week. Overall good apartment with stunning architecture in good location

Beautiful but…
Beautiful apartment, high ceilings and stunning architecture. Close to the train station and a ton of popular restaurants. Still, the area is pretty dirty, the neighborhood was hard to navigate with a baby and stroller (no green spaces around, and a lot of lingering homeless people occupations spaces right outside of the apartment) and there were cockroaches throughout the apartment. I wouldn’t recommend this space for a family.

A great apartment
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this apartment. We loved the space, the high ceilings and the availability of aircon. We also appreciated the very well equipped kitchen and the other facilities offered. These made our stay in Marseille very enjoyable and comfortable. The apartment is close to small supermarkets, bread shops and some great restaurants - we'd recommend Golda, in particular.It is also a short walk down La Canabiere to the Tourist Information Centre and the Vieux Port. It was always easy to communicate with Eloi although we did get a bit confused about accessing the key box on arrival - we weren't used to key boxes attached to railings in the street. We also weren't sure about what to do about the garbage or how to operate the TV and so would have welcomed a little more guidance on these. Thank you, Eloi, for all you do to enable us to have a really great time in Marseille. So much to see and so much to do!!

Unique property
Property is well located close to many important local sites newly renovated plaza and band-shell, with unbeatable access to public transport system. The apartment is old and unique with remarkable plaster work from an earlier age, on many walls and ceilings. Property has had upgrades but some minor replacements ( faucet etc) would not go amiss. We enjoyed our stay.

Stunning and memorable
We had a wonderful stay in this stunning apartment in a great part of the city. Eloi provided fantastic recommendations and we especially enjoyed our dinner down the street at Golda. :) The apartment is like a fairy tale with its soaring ceilings and jaw-dropping beauty. There were some issues with the kitchen sink and a shower that was difficult to use without getting the entire bathroom floor wet... but these were minor and did not greatly impact our enjoyment of the apartment. We had a memorable stay in Marseille and hope to come back again. Next time, we will try to make it to the Boite à Sardine! Merci beaucoup et (j'éspère) à bientôt, the Roberts Family

Grand house
Eloi was a true gentleman to deal with from start to end. The house was very large and beautiful and appointed with everything you could possibly need. Each room was air conditioned - this was very important during our stay in July as it was quite hot outside but inside the house very comfortable. The house is located centrally, the tram stop is 2 minutes walk which makes the Port and new museum main shopping centre and restaurants all easily accessible. The underground parking pass which Eloi provided was invaluable, and the parking lot is located 50m from the front door. Eloi provided us with a city map and advice at the beginning of our stay - and that was great - dinner at the Calanques restaurant is a must. Thanks for everything Eloi and we hope to see you again.
