What a Find
My wife and I were looking for a quick weekend getaway and found this beautiful historic house and it was perfect! The home is charming, cozy and warm. It was super clean (and smelled amazing) with all the modern amenities you would want. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you need to whip up a meal and the beds were super comfy when you ate too much of it. The backyard is completely fenced in, which was great with our little pups, and beautiful at night with the bistro lights hung around the fence. The owners, Nick and Liz, were super helpful and very responsive to any questions. They thought of every detail and were an absolute pleasure to deal with. If you’re looking for a place that’s out in the country but close to great dining and shops, this is the place for you!

Perfect girls getaway spot!
This is such a beautiful property that is extremely well maintained. We all were so appreciative of how well stocked the house was from the kitchen to the bathrooms. All of the beds were really comfortable and a really nice set up for a girls weekend away. The backyard is really beautiful and such a relaxing place to hang out when the weather is nice (which luckily it was for us)! I'd stay here again in a heartbeat!

Hidden gem in horse country!
Nick and Liz have worked hard to make this historic property an amazing home. We were all immediately at home in the cozy furnishings. The home was well stocked with everything we needed. Our dog enjoyed the amazing porch life and fenced in back yard. It was less than 10 minutes to downtown area with shops and restaurants. Everything from the beds to the oversized bath sheets were cozy and comfortable. We also enjoyed the history of the house and found the Delaney book very interesting! Our only wish is that we had more time to enjoy the house! We will be back. Thank you Nick and Liz!! We loved your Atoka House.

Chic Historic Home
Nick and Liz have put so much attention to details in this wonderful, cozy home located very close to Middleburg. Every amenity you could ask for was checked! We were in town for a wedding and had quite a few events so didn’t get to spend that much time just hanging at the house but we said multiple times that we would’ve loved to!!! We had 5 adults which worked out just fine but getaway for 2 couples would be ideal. Nick reached out to us multiple times to make sure we had everything we needed; hands down, best VRBO we’ve stayed at!

Literally a top-notch hidden gem!
The attention to detail in the restoration of the Atoka House is quite impressive as well as the creative and efficient use of space. The four of us are blown away! I really did not want to be too positive about my comments because I want to be able to get another reservation in the very near future! The hosts of the Atoka House are the best we’ve ever experienced…and we have been throughout the USA and overseas. This is a perfect getaway for two couples who want to be in the heart of northern Virginia wine/beer country.

Perfect! Amazing historic property with modern amenities. The place had everything we needed for a weekend getaway. Beds were super comfortable. Very dog friendly - the fenced in yard with a closeable gate was a welcome perk - the dogs can run freely without straying into the nearby road. Will definitely come back in the fall to experience the fire pit and watch the leaves change color!

Exceptional living
This place sets the standard for luxurious vacation renting! The decor was stunning and the entire house was carefully curated. We wanted for nothing and the beds were incredibly comfortable. We found paradise on Rectors Lane. Our best VRBO stay ever!
