When reported immediately, we received an automated response promising follow-up that never came.The property had several limitations that impacted our stay. One shower had minimal hot water pressure for lukewarm showers. The other shower required holding the shower head as there was no functional mount. The staircase handrail was not structurally attached to the wall, making it unsafe to rely upon.Even with the mandatory cleaning fee, the rental terms required us to perform extensive cleaning before departure, including dishes, emptying appliances, cleaning the oven and grill, and general tidying. The property provided no basic amenities like toilet paper, soap, or towels; items we had to purchase ourselves.The property charges separately for electricity consumption. Lights in a locked shed were left on that we couldn't access, meaning we may be charged for electricity we couldn't control.On the positive side, the property had plentiful bedrooms with spacious rooms for our group, and we enjoyed the included darts setup. The listing was accurate about fees and requirements.Future guests should budget for purchasing all household necessities and understand that the cleaning fee does not include actual cleaning service between guests; you'll still need to thoroughly clean before departure."

"This house was cozy and convenient. However, it is not a place for international travelers who cannot carry all their linens with them. I understand that all places do not have the same amenities, but this was not communicated until after the house was booked and I had already started traveling. Not having sheets and towels was a huge inconvenience. "

As the booking was done through hotels.com I expected the stay to be fully paid, but when arriving at the property it was clear that on top of the hotels.com price I had to pay for electricity, water and heating. This was not explained on hotels.com. Arriving at the property I discovered that there was no bedding, so I had to go to the local supermarket and buy bedding. This was not explained in the description of the property. Walking through the house it was obvious that there had been some cleaning, but unfortunately this cleaning had been done some days in advance, so I found spiderwebs and dead spiders on the floor. All in all, this is not what I expected when using hotels.com. Or at least, I would have expected the need of bedding and additional cost to be clear on the hotels.com website."
