Palmento Giorgio is the farmhouse that Giorgio Palmisano, a farmer, built in 1935 in the Valle d'Itria countryside: it was the family home and the palmento, where the wine was made. Restored by his heirs leaving the stone vaults and period floors on show, it's now all yours and sleeps up to 10 in 245 m² on the ground floor, with all rooms connected.

Dining room and living area under cross vaults, with a large wooden table, sofa, TV and a monumental stone fireplace with a glass-fronted hearth (a historic feature, not for guest use)

Eat-in kitchen with decorated terrazzo floor: oven, induction hob, dishwasher, fridge, coffee machine

Second living area: open-plan space under a stone barrel vault, with lounge, dining area and a second kitchen with island and dishwasher

3 double bedrooms with stone walls and period cement tiles (one with two single beds pushed together, one a few steps above the dining room; two are connected, with separate entrances)

All on the ground floor, but with an indoor staircase to the mezzanine and a few steps between rooms and up to the terraces: not suitable for guests with reduced mobility

The sofas are not sofa beds; there is no pool

The roof terrace is not accessible

The dining room fireplace is not for guest use

Closed-circuit outdoor cameras; none indoors
