"Very clean and quiet room. Slight musty odour in bathroom but to be expected in view of the age of the property. Perhaps consider eventually replacing with a walk-in shower rather than a shower over the bath tub which is very dated. Staff extremely helpful and friendly. Very willing to assist in any queries. Lovely dinner menu and very good choices on bar menu also. Food was excellent quality. Would highly recommend the steaks and we had the sharing sea food platter the next night. Amazing breakfast menu choices also. Would suggest water glasses in bedroom please. We dont drink from bottles! We borrowed 2 wine glasses from dinner to use in our room and left them there. Would definitely stay again. Finally, suggest booking spa treatments prior to stay as its busy."

"The hotel bedroom was spotlessly clean and very comfortable with everything you need in the room for a pleasant stay. The staff we encountered all seemed very friendly and helpful. Parking is easy and the hotel is surrounded by beautiful grounds. We always choose this hotel when visiting our relatives in Colchester."

"This was rather an interested stay as the place itself is a bit historical, so if your are not into this type of places, not bother to go. I found it to be very interesting. The rooms was decent and the breakfast was great. Staff was very helpful every step of the way. The in-house Portuguese restaurant is a MUST. Their wings was so good. Make sure to try them..:P"

"An overnight stay on our way to Norfolk. The in-house restaurant had a few vegan options. There was a nice pool and spa area, so it was ideal for a relaxing evening after a journey from Kent. Good value too!"

"⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ What a fantastic stay at The Orwell Hotel in Felixstowe! From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel genuinely welcome, and the level of customer service was outstanding throughout. A special mention has to go to Rob and Alfie, who were absolutely exceptional. They went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect, always with a smile, a friendly attitude, and a genuine willingness to help. They are a real credit to the hotel and made our stay even more memorable. The hotel itself is full of character, with comfortable, well-maintained rooms and a warm, relaxing atmosphere. Everything was spotless, and it was clear that the team takes great pride in looking after their guests. If you're looking for a hotel in Felixstowe that combines great hospitality with excellent service, I can't recommend The Orwell Hotel highly enough. Thanks again to Rob, Alfie, and the whole team—we'll definitely be back!"

"Good location, huge carpark, comfy bed , very quiet rooms, and really good friendly helpful staff. Only downside in the room was the shower which was very weak. Breakfast wasnt great, £14 each for a buffet but the quality wasn't great but it's hard when you're massive catering like that I suppose. Overall a nice comfortable stay and we would use it again."
