"PLEASE BE AWARE. This place overbooks clients so when you arrive they say there is NO reservation under your name. Then they send you to another location of much lower quality. People at the new location confirmed that they do this all the time. It is not a mistake but rather a scam. I left that second location and was lucky to find a nice hotel nearby for the same price. I did get a refund but most people will probably stay where they are forced to stay due to lack of options and uncertainty. I...

"Good service, nice spartment, great pool area, delicious restaurant, close to the beach and a good place for your vacation. But no Wifi inside the apartment and overall very bad connection. Could be a little bit cheaper in our opinion. Supermarket and ATM is a little far to walk."

"I booked the hotel for thirty days and ended leaving after 4 days. The pictures may look pretty and filtered, and the name sounds wonderful. But the experience was not, this place should be named Eden Encampment. How this is labeled as a 3 star hotel is beyond me. This is at most a 1 star hotel on its best day. "Safari House had plenty of space for our family of five. While not in the heart of Stone Town, it wasn't a far walk (10 min) to get there. Romaine, our host, was quite accommodating. The power and water shut off in the morning and he was over immediately to fix it (we didn't realize it was on a timer and was an easy fix). He also allowed us to store our luggage there after checkout time while we went out for a bit before our flight home. "

"Because we were only stopping for 2 nights we weren't too particular as to the room so chose the cheapest option but in retrospect we should have picked one next to the pool. We were in an annexe a 20meters away and it was a small room, though it did provide an effective ac unit, tea and coffee facilities, hit shower, clean towels both days, mosquito net, and it was clean and well presented. "We stayed in the Freddy Mercury suites which are ideally located....everything you need is within walking distance. The room was clean and bright and had everything we needed. What made our stay enjoyable was the staff... friendly, helpful and always with a smile on their face. The breakfast buffet was wonderful, had something for everyone - you certainly didn't leave hungry. Would definitely recommend this property for your visit to Stone Town."
