"Really nice staff. Peter was especially helpful putting something I’d left on one side until I could return and pick it up. The hotel is pretty big running along several Georgian houses. The room was very large and very well modernised As a hotel they don’t serve breakfast but that’s not an issue as several nearby places do. It’s located on a lovely spot - probably the best area to see Cockermouth . I’d thoroughly recommend it"

No choice of starters , main meal burgers, fish and chips, steak pie etc . Great if that’s what you’re looking for. Would have been nice to see something with potatoes veg salad etc . Still a lovely stay"

The staff were pleasant and very attentive to our needs, the facilities including the restaurant were excellent, serving very high quality food.
