    CALLIOPESMANSION is located in the heart of the marine reserve of Punta della Campanella right above Nerano Bay. The property is built along the hill's profile and designed to be an harmonic part of the natural landscape. It can comfortably host up to 13 guests in 7 rooms with 5+1 bathrooms, multiple living rooms, several exterior living and dining spaces, many terraces and the gorgeous pool overlooking the sea.

This place is absolutely spectacular and exactly as described! We had to of us stay here and it was the trip of a lifetime. Carmine is fantastic, just roll with him and do what he tells you to do and you will not be disappointed! The view is spectacular, and the grounds are stunning!

This was probably the nicest VRBO I have ever stayed at. Carmine was fantastic to deal with and made a lovely dinner at the villa. He arranged a visit to a local farm and went out of his way to make our experience memorable. The views are stunning. The driveway is very narrow but doable with a relatively compact car. I am grateful for the time we had with both our family of 5 and another family of 5. We had plenty of room and only wish we could stay longer.

Lovely home on the Sorrento peninsula

Great property, very helpful manager, cooked 2 meals at the house that were incredible. Lots of nearby places that are tucked away from the usual Amalfi coast or Sorrento hubbub. Would highly recommend.

Fabulous first time to the Amalfi Coast

Our time in the villa could not have been any better. We were a group of women, seniors, and this was our 1st time to the area. The scenery was breathtaking. We had day trips to Positano, Ravello, Pompeii, Herculaneum, Naples, Ischia and Capri….. some by boat, some by car. We visited a lemon farm, made limoncello, and watched the making of mozzarella.Carmine, the house manager, fixed us a good breakfast every morning and several fabulous dinner. He was very helpful with all our needs and informative about various activities. It was a fantastic vacation !

If you’re looking for someone who turns a good trip into an unforgettable vacation, with exclusive, royal like, treatment on any of his excursions, look no further. Amazing Stay !!@

This property is absolutely beautiful. The views are spectacular. Carmine, the property manager was the BEST part of our stay. He arranged everything from our pickup in Rome, trip to Pompeii, a day trip by private boat to Capri, a day trip by van along the coast, a private boat trip along the coast. Yo top it iff he prepared a fabulous meal on our last night and arranged our transfer to the Naples airport the day we left. We could not have enjoyed our time here any more.

We had a great stay at Calliope's Mansion. The villa is exactly as described on the website and looks even better in person than it does in the pictures. Carmine could not have been more helpful and arranged everything for us from transfers from the airport, trips to Pompeii, boat trips, dinner in local restaurants. He came in and cooked for the whole group on two occasions. Even though the villa is so remote it didnt feel like you couldnt go out and explore the local area. He was always very responsive and things were quickly organised the night before or the day of.

Unbelievable views! Loved this Villa

We LOVED our stay! We had an incredible vacation and Carmine made it even more special. The villa is exactly as described and was full service for all the activities and amenities we needed. Can't stress enough to use Carmine to help with everything from dinners at the villa, restaurants, all our day trips, cooking classes, food/beverages at the villa, etc! He was very attentive and made sure we were having an incredible vacation. The villa is somewhat remote, but we were able to walk to the nearby village (20 min hilly walk) and it was worth the trip. The pasta shop at the bottom of the hill (La Palma Pasta All'uovo) was also a great find for daily fresh pasta if you want to cook at the villa. Afternoons in the pool gazing at the sea was also magical.We couldn't say enough great things about our stay - it was just incredible. We had 2 families and everyone said this was one of the best vacations we have ever taken! Highly recommend and make sure to use Carmine for all your plans!

This week was not only a family vacation, but also my wedding venue! All I can say is Grazie Mille a Carmine, who was absolutely wonderful throughout the entire week. He had no issue scheduling phone calls with me leading up to the week, discussing wedding details, and he was always available while we were staying at Villa Calliope. We had a pretty bad storm the night before the wedding, and it ended up frying a fuse, leaving us without power or AC in the upstairs part of the house. We discovered the problem around 10:30 PM, but Carmine was immediately available, talking me through troubleshooting the problem. AC was fixed almost instantly, and a repairman was out first thing the next morning to remedy the lights! I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Carmine and Villa Calliope! You would be remiss to skip this stay!

Incredible Experience

This property was easily the most incredible place I've stayed in my life. From the views over the Tyrrenhian Sea from the pool and the terraces to the villa itself, everything was beyond expectations. But what really put our experience over the top in terms of making the vacation a once-in-a-lifetime experience was having Carmine available every step of the way to help us manage everything from private boat excursions to Capri, rides in and out of the surrounding towns, (personally) cooking dinners at the villa, and making dinner reservations for us with restaraurants that actually come to pick you up at the villa and drop you off after. One night the restaurant shuttle even stopped at the grocery so we could shop and then refrigerated our food while we ate at the their restaurant. I hope to be fortunate enough to go there again, it was truly incredible!

The Best Place We Stayed In Italy

We stayed in VRBOs in Lake Como (Rezzonico), Florence and this property on our trip and we definitely saved the best for last (Mass Lubresne). The Villa is spectacular, a perfect size for our group of 8 with plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. The views were amazing, a great pool, and they villa was cleaned daily. The location was also terrific, remote so we had a lot of privacy but within 15-25 minutes of anywhere we wanted to go. As great as the property itself was, Carmine, who is the property manager, was even better. He helped arrange tours/excursions, transportation, massages and restaurant reservations. He was on top of everything, a real joy to work with. If you are spending time in Sorrento/Amalfi coast and you have a group of 8-10 people, this is a great place to stay.

We absolutely loved our family vacation on the Amalfi Coast. The villa is beautiful with spectacular views, but we would have been lost without Carmine the house manager. The villa is located in a very remote area at the end of a steep, narrow, winding road. Without transportation you would be stuck. Carmine was incredible arranging all of our rides, excursions, and even cooking an amazing dinner for the 9 of us. We loved the old style of the villa, but think some bathroom renovations are needed. The villa comes with a sweet mascot, Coffee, the local dog that greets you everyday. Wonderful family memories were made this week. Wish the weather was warmer so that we could have enjoyed the numerous terraces and the pool more!!

Dream Vacation

What an amazing time we had at Calliope's Mansion! We were a group of 10 friends celebrating a 50th bday. We had the most amazing adventures, from private boat tours of both Amalfi Coast and Capri with fantastic captains, riding scooters, exploring Sorrento, eating at local delicious restaurants and a trip to Pompeii. We also enjoyed spending time at the gorgeous villa enjoying the amazing views, pool and BBQ, and one night Carmine the house manager and Rosie prepared a wonderful Italian meal at the villa. A HUGE thank you to Carmine for being an amazing host who helped with soooo much, from emails and calls before our trip to offer great tips and advice, to arranging all our actives and transportation, to being so attentive and available any time, and on top of all that, an incredibly kind and funny person. Thank you to Rossaria, Alessandra and all the lovely people that helped us along the way. It was a dream come true. Sono state una bellissima vacanza!!!!

Stunning Amalfi Villa

This villa and its views were more breathtaking and beautiful than pictured. This home is truly one of the most beautiful vrbo properties I have ever rented, and I have rented many! Our group of nine (7 adults and 2 teenagers) were very comfortable. We all had plenty of space and privacy, and all the necessary amenities were provided in each room (air conditioning, towels, beauty supplies, hair dryer, etc.). Carmine arranged all transportation for our arrival/departure and outings, as well as shopping in advance for us for groceries and wine, and arranging to have dinner made for our group on the night of our arrival. Our group has lovely memories (and photos) of socializing and being together in the beautiful pool area and on the terraces. The location is quite remote though, and the closest town (Sant'Agata sui Due Golfi) is not as walkable from the house as we had hoped. (The main road is narrow and has quite a bit of traffic, even early in the morning, so walking into town was a bit harrowing). For those with car(s), this would not be an issue. Overall, the beauty of this property and the wonderful supportive team who were there to help make this property a amazing place for an Amalfi vacation.

The views, the service, the layout, the meal, the hospitality! Incredible!

There were 13 of us at peak, 8 adults, 1 teenager, 4 children between 9 and 12yrs of age. This place was just perfectly to our taste, and the layout worked. First of all, the planning pre-arrival was perfect, even though I was not entirely on top of everything, Carmine was. We had organised 3 day-trips one to Capri, one to Positano, Amalfi, Ravello and one to Pompeii and Vesuvius. All flawlessly executed and we had a great driver or set of drivers for all. Then we had an evening meal at home one evening - simply delicious, cooked by Carmine himself and his crew, and other days we relaxed by the pool or went off to St Agata or Sorrento. This villa is just so cosy that we immediately felt at home in it. And certainly Carmine and Caterina (who came to clean daily) made us feel even more so. (One small correction to the listing - there is not a TV in each bedroom, at least not when we were there). We are regulars in Italy and this was one of the best! My 11 year old nephew suggested we buy the place, as he wants us to come back to this house every year, so Luca beware! :-) Thank you for sharing your little piece of heaven with us.

A wonderful stay!!

Calliopes Mansion was amazing. Our group of family and friends of various ages enjoyed our stay. The views were breathtaking from every window and terrace. The house had so many areas to wander and take in the views and enjoy the perfect weather. The beautiful tiled kitchen had everything you needed for those gourmet meals. Our group enjoyed lounging by the pool taking in the sun. We were able to walk down the winding path to explore the immediate area and having the pasta shop at the bottom of the hill made the walk worth it! We had three cars and there was plenty of room for parking. While the drive up or down the road was tricky, it was manageable and we definitely had a ton of laughs and became better drivers no doubt. The local residents were very courteous sharing the road. The bedrooms were very comfortable and roomy with lots of closet space. Having bathrooms for all was a bonus. From the beautiful terracotta flooring to the artwork, Calliopes Mansion had a unique charm, that we all felt so comfortable were sad to leave. We were able to venture into all of Sorrento and the Amalfi coast. The village of Termini was close by that taking a late afternoon small boat ride on our last day was one of the best experiences! I cannot leave out Carmine! He was terrific! It was great having a meet up point and then guiding us up to the home. Thank you Carmine also for the Bocce balls and the board games! Everything went smoothly and we had a wonderful stay in Massa Lubrense!

What can I say but......AMAZING!

The Villa was an absolute delight to visit (even with the exhilarating ride up the narrow, windy, bumpy road LOL). All rooms, outdoor areas, etc. exactly as pictured. Our stay wouldn't have been as wonderful without the man of all talents, Carmine and his trusty sidekick, Rosa. Anything and everything we asked of Carmine was taken care of, with his guidance on certain "asks" that we should re-consider. His cooking was outstanding, his sense of humor excellent (especially with our group), his daily reminders of next day activities very much appreciated. Restaurant suggestions didn't disappoint....he even met up with us on our way back from a long day of touring to guide our driver to a take-out pizza place (we were craving pizza). He's literally everywhere and ready to help. Rosa is as sweet as can be.......worked hard every day making sure everything was in order, tidied up and clean.....all with a big smile on her face. She was also an excellent assistant to Carmine on the day he held our cooking class at the villa. Even though the Amalfi Coast has alot to offer as far as sightseeing, I could have spent every day outside at the pool or on one of the large patios just gazing at the beautiful view of the water. Definitely one of a kind, special place to spend with close friends and family! Until next time......Ciao! Molte, molte grazie!!

Heavenly Views in Italy

We were a group of 9 friends who came to the Amalfi Coast to explore and enjoy. Calliopi Mansion did not disappoint! It is very nice Italian property (not a modern unauthentic place) with plenty of space and amenities. There were numerous patios, a great (very clean) swimming pool looking out over the sea, and plenty of dining space. We took advantage of Carmine, the property manager's, expertise and it was well worth it. Carmine arranged transportation to and from airport, boat rides to Amalfi and Capri, a cooking class, transportation to Ravello and a local winery, guides in Pompeii and Herculaneum, transportation to Sorrento to dine/shop and some in villa cooked meals. ALL of this went off without a hitch. He was very accommodating and his choice of drivers, guides and boat skipper were fantasic. We enjoyed it all. As stated in other reviews, the property is remote. It is not in the center of a town and has a long drive up to access. With that said, you cannot beat the quiet and views of this place. However, you should plan to use Carmine to schedule all of your activities or you will most likely run into issues and walking up and down a long and quite narrow drive to reach transportation services that aren't willing to go up the drive. Would not recommend this. Also, when you arrive, Carmine arranges cars to take up your luggage and you to the villa. So highly recommend this villa, but make your visit perfect by using Carmines services. Maid service daily.

Absolutely beautiful!

Cannot beat the view! Looks just as portrayed in the photos in description. The property looked and felt larger than depicted, which was an absolute wow when we arrived and got a quick tour. More than enough room for our group and comfortable. Well-equipped kitchen, and loved the availability of A/C, especially with the heat. The manager, Carmine, was outstanding with communication and organization prior to arrival. As long as you have WhatsApp, super easy to communicate. Some information may have been slightly lost in translation, but overall, Carmine was an outstanding source, and made our preparation smooth and easy. The main downside of the property itself (though maybe not everyone would find this a downside) is the isolated location. Granted, to get that view, you must be in a special location, but it made any kind of travel and food plans and complicated. No easy access to supermarkets or restaurants, and even with transportation provided for some tours we booked separately, we still ended up walking up and down that long winding hill to get to transports. Everything arranged through Carmine was easy and those transports came up to the villa, but in this location, you can't just decide to go out for dinner at the last minute. That is one thing that the Vrbo description didn't really explain-the isolated location. Overall, outstandingly beautiful location and super helpful manager in Carmine and well maintained. Would recommened to anyone, but remember isolation.

Amalfi with friends

The villa was perfect space for 9 adults. We used outdoor dining space every morning for breakfast and stayed up late at night outside on the terrace. Has a lot of spaces for all to be together or have some privacy. The views are amazing from anywhere outside. We couldn’t get enough of the views. The only thing maybe better than the views was Carmine! Our trip was made perfect with his help. He arranged all transportation everywhere we went and made 2 most delicious dinners for us at the villa after an exhausting day exploring. I would strongly recommend anyone renting the villa use Carmine to arrange transportation. The villa is located on a narrow, windy private drive that most taxis will not go on. All of drivers arranged by Carmine would pick us up right at the villa. Rosaria kept the house in order and made a late evening run when our hot water breaker tripped. I hope to visit again and will definitely try to stay here again.
