"Great place to stay but getting there is quite difficult. We were told in advance and so we were aware. Best not to have much luggage as it is 240 down to get to the place. Of course 480 steps every time you leave/return. Would have been nice to have coffee in the apartment. We could not figure out the heating system as it is a pellet type furnace. Great view and total privacy."

"This little farmhouse is 100 years old and still had everything we needed for our stay. Comfortable beds, nice showers and plenty of hot water. It gave us a taste of a life lived long ago. Views were beautiful and the town of Lucca was 20 minutes away by car. Shopping there is great. The farmhouse is remote, quiet, and in the middle of olive trees. Wi-Fi was good, and the parking was a nice amenity. Massimo provided us with a lot of local information which was very helpful. We enjoyed our stay."

"We rented all three houses for 12 people, which worked very well. The grounds and the area are typically Tuscan, very charming and beautiful. The propertymanager is very helpful and available. The poolarea is particularly nice and the teenagers spent all day there :-) Nearby you’ll find Lucca, winetasting, hiking and many other activities. Highly recommendable."

"The villa and facilities are as described and the photographs are accurate representations. The property was very clean and the furniture comfortable. Our children made full use of the WiFi and it did not fail their high demands! We loved the pool, beautiful garden & balcony and spent most evenings relaxing here. Be warned - a variety of biting insects emerge at night, so prepare an array of deterrents! Lucca, Pisa, Barga etc are all easy drives."

La vue de la maison est magnifique et la piscine très agréable. La maison est très grande, bien entretenue et très bien équipée. Ein problemloser Check-in, ein guter Kontakt zur Gastgeberin, die gute Ausstattung des Hauses und der Garten, der einen schönen Auslauf für unseren Hund bot, haben dazu beigetragen. "A clean, comfortable villa with a fantastic view. Enzo, Host, was very helpful in getting our group settled. He even went way out of his way to pick up part of the party from the station in Pisa. We used the very functional kitchen, the beds were comfortable and enjoyed the quaintness of the Villa. Only challenge was the road up the mountain - took some careful getting used to!!"

"Set inside a visitor park, at first we were disappointed by the location. It is actually behind private property signs in its own area (better fencing and signage would improve it). It is quiet (especially during the week) and with gorgeous views. The pool is a few strides from the house, rather than attached, but is pleasant and unusual. The owner was very kind and friendly and could not be more helpful - it is very welcoming. We had a fantastic stay, thank you."

"The house was very clean, comfortable and spacious and we never tired of the superlative views across the valley. Diego and his dad are lovely and always available when needed. If I was to suggest an improvement, it would be a little more kitchen equipment - there was no sharp knife for cooking, no collander, few wine glasses and an oven tray that didn’t fit the oven. A small point that did not detract from a great week in a stand out property. Highly recommended!"

"Donatella is simply amazing! She would always be there for us whenever we needed. Thank you so much! House is old, over 250 years old, fully renovated, with everything you need to spend time with your family. The view from was amazing. Anything we didn’t like? No. Maybe driving this crazy mountain was tiring but this is Tuscany- you get the view when you learn how to drive UP."

"We loved our experience at La Palazzo. We have had many vacation rentals over the years and this stood out as one of best. The house is in a beautiful, peaceful location. Marco and the other property managers were helpful and gave us wonderful suggestions for restaurants, shops and sites to visit. The grounds and house were beautifully tended and the pool was perfect. We were two families with plenty of space to roam. We loved our stay and would highly recommend it."
