This was an exceptionally well done house with suites created within. The proprietor and assistant we're warm and efficient. The suite was large with a coffee room, extremely comfortable bed and modern large bathroom. The included breakfast was wonderful served in an exquisite dining room. We highly recommend this place.

Greeting was warm and friendly. The breakfast excellent and served with a nice interpretation of the local ingredients. The suite we chose was superb however it had not been clear in the Expedia ad that it was 2 flights of stairs up which was disappointing.

A delightful Auberge in an historic building. The Auberge provides large rooms, comfortable beds and deluxe bathrooms that are ideal for weary travellers. The staff and proprietors were friendly and welcoming and provided lots of ideas as to what to see and do in the area. A delicious three course breakfast is available as an option. You will definitely want the breakfast option. The Auberge is in a location within easy walking distance to the downtown which is full ofboutiques and food options.

This is one of the very best places you can stay in Matane! It is central to absolutely everything in Matane and the staff with make sure that you know all of your options. The room I had was simply amazing, clean, cozy and well appointed. I highly recommend for couples, or for anyone who wants to have a different experience than a hotel. My welcome by Elana was super and she was super helpful and kind. I give this Auberge a solid 10 out of 10 and I do not do that often! Enjoy your stay! David

Beautiful little hotel. Attention to detail was superb. Reception upon arrival was great, with enquires as to reservations for meals , and offers for breakfast in their dining room. Explaining we were vegetarian wasn’t a problem, and a choice was suggested. Fresh fruit with yogurt, vegetarian omelet with multigrain toast. Sadly we had to refuse the waffles with apple, as we were quite satisfied with what we already had. Previous evening we had supper at a micro brewery that served us the best vegetarian Berger I have had in a restaurant, with a 20% discount on food with proof of occupancy at the hotel. Our stay in Matane as a stopover was great and totally appreciated.

We selected this hotel because it was close to the ferry. You have to report to the ferry at 7:30, we were informed breakfast was at 8:00, no exceptions, nothing to go but you pay full price. Somewhat fortunately, the house is right between a Tim Horton and McDonald’s. They advertised an ocean view room and I guess you could see a little of the ocean on the other side of the highway and over the top of a shopping mall. Not the experience we had hoped for.
