"Nice and comfy room. Beautiful garden with many beautiful birds and other wildlife. Close to the beach. Plus is for the distance to Galle Road (which is very noisy). The dinner was good, but far from great. The curry’s are way to salty. Same as for the breakfast (don’t try the chocolate pancakes). Beautiful place and very friendly staff. - Big minus for the hotels own landfill that you see if you take a walk outside the fences. They should really clean that up. Not ok! "

The beach is less than a 5 minute walk in one direction and the main road with everything you could ever want for food is a quick 3 minute walk in the other direction The best part about this hotel is the owner Sajeewani, she is the most kind and sincere person ever. "Stayed for two weeks in September 2023. For starters, the host family at Talalla Freedom are wonderful. Helpful, friendly, adjusted to my food allergies, went over and beyond. Rs 250 for a pot of fresh tea. The pool is lovely and well kept, the view and access to Talalla beach is phenomenal (as long as you don't have any mobility issues. Beds are Sri Lanka firm but comfy. You can sit in a nice recliner with your tea and watch the monkeys walk by. The birds in the area are beautiful. Be aware...

"Everything was great! Check in was really, which is a nice bonus. The hotel was close to everything (the beach, the town centre, restaurants) without being on the main busy road. And a great price for what you get. The shower was finicky though - super hot and we couldn't figure out how to change the temp."
