This beautiful Boutique hotel was right in town centre. Matera is so unique everyone must go there. The hotel's location was excellent, breakfast fabulous and staff were friendly and helpful

The hotel is in a great location to explore Matera, and some of the rooms are in actual caves (it's a great experience for a night or two) without windows. These rooms are very nice and have a good spacious shower. Some rooms are not in the check-in building and so a walk down some stone steps may be required.

Without window the rooms are not nice however its fine. Rest we enjoyed our stay in Matera. Rooms are in different pathway where you have to go down using stairs. If you are old then it might be an big issue but location is center and you don’t have to take an bus to go further.

Charming hotel in Matera

Great stay, clean, close to everything. Nice room but no windows because they are in a grotta in the old town. Be aware you need to walk from the lobby to the rooms and there are stairs to get there (don’t bring heavy luggage)

Bad Experience

We did not have good experience for our three night stay. The shower drainage was clogged and water did not go down quick enough. We have to shut off the water in the mid of shower and wait until water went down. We told the staff the drainage issue. They just told us to send message with no any staff or service ordered to fix it. When we sent the message about the issue, we did not receive a single word with zero response. The hotel is classified as 4 star. I do not know how this rating came from. We stayed in Italy for 2 months and stayed different hotels in different regions. By comparison, this hotel can not even be classified for 3 star. The breakfast compared with most of the 4 star hotels in Italy, it is bad. No any hot item in the breakfast except coffee. The boiled egg was icy cold, taken from refrigerator and probably boiled days ago..Please note, the hotel room is in the cave. You have to step down 50 steps in order to reach the hotel room. When you leave, you need to climb up 50 steps with your luggages. I would not book the hotel if I knew it was like that. I do not know how the review rating (seem to be good) was coming from. But only 22 review at my booking time. May be from family members, friends or relatives... Not sure about it. Anyway, it was a real bad experience we had .

O gostem é muito bonito mas minúsculo. O elevador só cabem 2 pessoas, não há acessibilidade cómo rampas. A equipe da recepção é ótima. O café da manhã é bom e o banheiro tem portas de vidro.

Perfekt hotel i centrum af det hele. Flinkt personale og dejligt værelse. Så hyggeligt, det skal man ikke være bange for at vælge. En skør ting er, at man ikke må bruge deres elevator mellem 11-7 om aften/natten.

Avendo dormito in una stanza della depandance nei sassi ho potuto apprezzare il fascino della location. La camera era molto pulita e arredata con gusto. La colazione, servita in un bel locale, varia e con prodotti locali molto buoni e freschi. La gentilezza e simpatia della signora addetta alla colazione merita una menzione speciale.

Ottima esperienza

Posizione centralissima posizionato in un vecchio palazzo ristrutturato affacciato sulla piazza del Sedile.Unico piccolo ed inevitabile neo è stato il parcheggio perché trovandosi l’albergo in zona ZTL si potevano scaricare e caricare i bagagli e poi portare la macchina in un parcheggio convenzionato.Ma a Matera la macchina non serve.Personale gentilissimo e camera,con terrazzo,grande spaziosa e pulita
