Hat uns schon mal besser gefallen

Nun ja. Als wir vor etwa 12 Jahren schon im Albergo Italia genächtigt haben waren wir begeistert. Die riesige Terrasse der King Suite (Zi 115) mit Blick über die Sassi hat uns begeistert. Man hat sich damals gut vorstellen können, dass Mel Gibson während der Dreharbeiten zur „Passion Christi“ hier gewohnt hat. Aber Matera hat sich verändert. Unzählige Privatzimmer und B&B‘s sind entstanden und man kann sich bei dieser Auswahl heute kaum noch vorstellen, dass sich jemand mehr als nur eine Nacht in genannter King Suite aufhalten möchte. An dieser sind die letzten Jahre spurlos vorüber gegangen. Das Bad dürfte neu sein. Und der Preis hat sich nahezu verdoppelt. Aber der Komfort geht gegen Null wenn man witterungsbedingt die Terrasse nicht nutzen kann. Keine Minibar (auch keine Hotelbar), keine Kaffeemaschine, Wasserkocher, etc. Antiquarische Stühle nett zum ansehen aber ungemütlich. Diesmal insgesamt leider enttäuschend. Aber die Terrasse ist natürlich großartig.

Hotel in ottima posizione strategica vicinissimo al centro storico. Da lì si inizia il percorso per i sassi. Si trova nella piazza importante della basilica di S.Francesco di Assisi. Hotel molto pulito e camera bellissima con vista città storica. Personale disponibile e gentile. Colazione continentale in sala ben arredata e pulita.

Hôtel très bien situé au cœur d'une ville magnifique. Très bon petit déjeuner. Seuls bémols : le prix (un peu excessif par rapport à la prestation mais les hôtels à Matera sont chers) et la vue de la chambre....

Una bella dormita!

La struttura si trova al centro di Matera, ottima posizione. Il personale gentile e disponibile. Ero stata in questa struttura qualche anno fà, ed era ineccepibile. Ora le stanze sono milto datate hanno bisogno di essere ristrutturate, anche se grandi e con il letto comodissimo. Il parcheggio non è in sede ma ti suggeriscono un parcheggio pubblico anche se molto vicino. Ottima la colazione, la pulizia ed il silenzio pur trovandosi in centro.

Good hotel with an excellent location

The location is excellent, in the historic area but a block away from its limit. The room was comfortable except for the bathroom which was small as it is an old building. The view from our room was excellent.

Just perfect in every way.

We stayed here for two nights and was perfectly placed for our desire to explore Matera. Easy walk from station and close to both the centre of town and the historical arena. The hotel is classy in a traditional style with a calm cosy atmosphere and very helpful staff. A comfy room with a small but adequate bathroom and we were provided with a room with a balcony with a stunning view of the sassi. So glad we chose this hotel
