Such an amazing place to stay. The room was spotless and had so much character. The shower and bathroom were a luxury. The breakfast was local and so generous. What an absolute dream Matera ans this place was. I would love to return here, the hosts were very helpful and responsive. Grazie mille!

The location is really easily accessible to all the tourist site. Big shout out to Chiara and her husband. They not only provided me with all the tourist info, also very delicious breakfast. It’s like a home away from home. Grazie Mille~

Perfectly located in a completely renovated cave house. The only suggestion for people is when your map app says stop-then stop. Then text the owners because you will never find the place but you are right there. They will show you where to park. Don’t worry about the ZTL there as it is open except from 8:30pm to 3am. They are a sweet couple and very helpful. Breakfast hits the spot. I would never hesitate to stay here again or recommend it to others.

This BnB was very nice. Clean, and a good sized room with a loft that comfortably fit our family of four. The location is perfect, in the Sassi, the old part of Matera. It’s a short, picturesque walk from the door to restaurants, bars, and shopping, and the historic Sasso Caveoso. Our hosts were very lovely people, very helpful and attentive. The breakfast was good, with some local breads & cornetti, fruit, and very good coffee. I would definitely recommend La Pergola ai Sassi.

Convenient clean B & B

Very enthusiastic young couple who own this beautifully restored historic house in a perfect location to visit the town of Matera. They did not speak much English, but whipped out their google translate for a very lively and enjoyable visit, including an amazing full breakfast of local produce.

Bien placé en ville, mais bof !

Chambre d’hôtes bien placée au coeur de la vieille ville, mais difficile à trouver, et accès nécessitant de franchir des escaliers ce qui peut être compliqué pour certaines personnes, sans compter les valises à porter ! N’accepte que les paiements en espèces, ce qui ne facilite pas les choses, sans compter qu’on ne voit plus cela nulle part ! Manque d’oreillers dans la chambre (1 seul oreiller par personne). Bon petit déjeuner avec des produits locaux… que l’on prend sous le regard des maîtres de maison qui restent plantés derrière leur comptoir… Bref, ce n’est pas la meilleure expérience de notre voyage en Italie !

Excellent accueil. Une vraie chambre d'hôtes tenue par un couple sympathique. Elle est située tout au bout de la zone des sassi, mais l'avantage, c'est qu'on peut garer la voiture à proximité. Possibilité de visiter Matera entièrement à pied. Pas vraiment d'espace extérieur, excepté le petit banc devant la maison.
