Private hilltop villa with infinity pool ideal for your visit to Puglia.

This 3 bedroom Villa sits commandingly on its own hilltop, surrounded by rolling hills of grain fields with breathtaking 360 degree views around a magnificent, heated infinity pool. The well-proportioned rooms are laid out over a single story all with marble floors, impressive vaulted ceilings with Pugliese yellow stone and French doors opening onto a stunning pool deck, stone loggias & expansive terraces. The bathrooms feature Philippe Stark and Grohe fittings and large walk in showers while the chef's kitchen features LadyCucine custom cabinets & Siemens appliances. You'll be dazzled by the sunsets over the infinity edge pool each evening. Just 14km to the Historic Center of Matera where you can visit Michelin rated restaurants and 5 Start Hotels or old school Trattoria's set inside the classic caves. Take a beautiful 30 minute drive to the unique sandy Ionian beaches and stop by or visit all of the charming towns of Puglia like Alberobello, Ostuni & Monopoli within an hour's drive. Bari airport is less than an hour's drive.

GREAT Home Base for touring Southern Italy
We are two young families who booked this wonderful property to use as a home base for traveling around together in Southern Italy and we are so glad we did. The home's proximity to Matera is perfect as it was only a 10 min drive and we were able to explore the city daily (the owner's recommendations for dining and sites were spot on) and then return to the expansive property and enjoy wine and the breathtaking sunsets while the kids played in the huge pool. The home is extremely well laid out with the children occupying one room and the adults in the other two rooms (one child choose to sleep on the huge sectional in the living room...all the furniture is different and ten times better than the photos which the owners should update). The entire property is extremely private and secure and proved to be a perfect base to explore other Puglia sites as it was only about an hour to get to most landmarks and towns. A final shout out to the grounds keeper Marcello who was extremely kind and helpful. Highly recommend this property!

Beautiful Villa Matera
Our trip was wonderful the villa is stunning and perfectly appointed for our family of five including two teens and a 4 year old. The 360 degree views are incredible and sunsets absolutely stunning. We spent evenings picking fruits and herbs in the incredible garden, swimming and soaking in the views while using the outdoor pizza oven to make food. Local grocery store and restaurants are about 15 minutes away and villa is easily accessible to Matera. Matera is an incredible city with so much to explore and see you could spend days there. The villa is also close to beaches about 30 minute drive to the southern coast with sandy beaches perfect for families. Highly recommend beach resort Lido Natura. Also took the 60 minute drive to explore the beautiful towns and coastline on the East coast south of Bari another trip worth making. Overall highly recommend location for exploring southern Italy, Matera and having a place that’s peaceful and serene.

Stunning views and blissful comfort... the home, the grounds, the town... 10/10
So, apparently we were one of the first house guests to this Villa. The owner, Julio, just bought it this year. He and I had several phone conversations before our visit and he was super helpful in managing our first trip to Puglia. Once we were there, the British house manager, Holly, was also lovely and helpful. The online listing was beautiful, but the house exceeded my expectations in person. The furniture is much better than the photos and the views were insane. The house sits on top of a hill and has such amazing sunsets that we’d try to rush home from wherever we were to have cocktails by the pool and watch the sun go down. And the drive through the countryside to the front gate never got old. The home is well appointed and very comfortable. It’s obvious that a lot of attention went into the home design and decor. As for the area, Matera is one of the most magical cities I've ever been to with plenty to do and see. It was simple to get into town for restaurants and grocery runs, though we could have just stayed on the property to eat from the garden. Artichokes, strawberries, lemons and oranges all grow at the house and were delicious. They also had pomegranate trees, but unfortunately, they weren’t in season. We took a couple day trips at Julio's suggestion to Alberobello, Ostuni and Polignano al Mare, and had lunch at the Palazzo Margherita (gorgeous!) about 30 mins away in Bernalda. I'd give our stay 10 stars if I could, and we can’t wait to come back!
