"Service was lovely, on top of what they are doing. Food was amazing and they are always making sure the customers are happy and if there is anything they can do to help the customers, was an absolute delight with my dog, he got lots of attention. The only con was that the rooms are dated and the furniture seems aged but with the new management hopefully this may change. Will definitely return. "

"Excellent experience. The owner could not have been more friendly and accommodating. The room was snug but welcoming and well appointed and the breakfast experience was really special. We will return as we did not have time to sample the cakes in the tearoom on this occasion and they looked delicious. Would definitely recommend."

"We found the Fountain a quirky B&B which actually provide breakfast! Our room was a reasonable size with 2 single beds with a view over the fountain. The room was clean and beds comfortable although the stairs up to the room were quite steep and narrow so we left our luggage in the car and only took what was needed for the one night stay. We had trouble with the shower and would rate this as average."

"Lovely hotel - very cosy and festive over the New Year period. Pretty gardens with a river running at the bottom. Slightly disappointed not to have had a dog bed or any bowls considering the additional dog charge. There was some confusion with the level of service between the restaurant and the hotel which left us waiting for our meal alone in the bar area. However, staff were very friendly. "

"Beautiful clean excellently equipped house in Matlock. Great parking, exceptionally clean. Large and spacious with an amazing kitchen and beautiful bathrooms. Lots of hot water. Great communication. Only downside for us as seniors was the very hilly area. We love to walk but the high location of this lovely home meant we preferred to drive, and therefore park, to visit the town. Beautiful house. Thanks"
