"So happy with our stay here. Quiet. Has everything we needed including full kitchen and washer/ drier. Stores close. Johnny's Restaurant had great fish and chips. Easy location to beaches. Staff wonderful."

"An amazing one of a kind house with gorgeous views of all 3 volcanoes and the ocean. We watched cows, goats, pigs, a wild Turkey and hawk all from the back patio. We would love to visit again."

"My husband was unexpectedly unable to join me on the trip. But my cousin came along instead. When I explained what happened, they helpfully changed my king room to a double queen. This is my second trip to the Fairmont Orchid. The beach and pool are lovely. The food is fabulous. The grounds are immaculate. The outdoor spa can't be beat with the sound of the running water. I had picked the Orchid originally because I wanted a place my husband would enjoy while I was off scuba diving. With my cousin with me (who also dives), I sometimes wished we were closer to the harbor. But, the Orchid really can't be beat for a beautiful spot to enjoy (and it is close to some of the lovely state beaches to the north -- not that you need to go to them given the lovely cove with drinks service!!) Oh! And if you happen to be there on a "talk story" weekend at the nearby Eva Parker Woods Cottage, you should go!"

"Our party included an extended family of 13 ranging from grandparents to grandkids. The house was a perfect fit with Hawaii style and comforts. We happen to be there when Hurricane LaLa was approaching and the host and his onsite overseer were proactive in communication. When the power went out that communication and care continued. If you’re going to be stuck due to bad weather, power outages, and closed state beaches, you can’t beat Puako. So many places to access snorkeling and sunsets. The house is a great location to discover Waikola, Kohala, and Kona. All in all, we’re grateful to our hosts for making sure we could enjoy the house safely and comfortably the whole time."
