"The location was incredible and the staff were friendly and incredibly accomodating. A chair in my room needed to be replaced and the TV was not fully installed yet, but neither of those things detracted from the experience in any meaningful way. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone traveling to Placencia."

"Our time at Ophelia’s Villa was absolutely amazing. From the onset, Luti and Ms Ida were wonderful and attentive. Heather is an excellent host who responds quickly and offers so much help! We booked all our excursions through Capt Jaks who took awesome care of us! Definitely recommend Pablo!!!You couldn’t ask for more out of a vacation home. The house has everything and I was so pleased to find out it looks just like the pictures!!! The views of the mountains over the lagoon are breathtaking. The villa is pretty centrally located and an easy golf cart ride to anywhere around Placencia. Also, a huge bonus was being on the lagoon side we didn’t have any of the seaweed!!!!I would highly recommend Ophelia’s Villa to anyone I know going to Belize! "

"First the positives:Beautiful location. Great beach. Beautiful pool and deck area. Large rooms. Outstanding staff. Ernesto was awesome, a tireless worker who did an amazing job of keeping the property and grounds immaculate. Chef Salvador was outstanding. His meals were fantastic and very healthy. Always fresh!Housekeeper Arielle’s (sp?) was so sweet and helpful.Opportunities for improvement:Deck chair cushions were filthy and had black stains on them. Some parts of outdoor couch unusable because cushions were so waterlogged Pictures showed roof top furniture but upon arrival there was none. Very disappointingKitchen incredibly dark. Not enough or bright enough lighting. I have no idea how Salvador worked in that environment For a home of this calibre and cost to rent the kitchen appliances were such low calibre. For 6 people you need more than a two slice cheapy toaster. Same for the coffee maker- it is the cheapest model imaginable The bed linens were not up to standard for a home of this cost. Cheap polyester sheets suck!Bedroom and dining room furniture was good but living room furniture was lacking. For an eight person house you could only comfortably seat 5 people. As well the one love seat was very poor quality So overall that’s why only a three rating. If not for the quality of the staff the rating would have been lower."
