Welcome to our cozy 4-bedroom vacation home in the charming town of Mayville! Nestled just a 10-minute drive from the renowned Chautauqua Institution and a 22-minute drive from the stunning shores of Lake Erie, this property offers the perfect base for your getaway.

As you step inside, you'll be greeted by a fully stocked kitchen, complete with a stove, oven, refrigerator, grill, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, and all the dishes and utensils you'll need to whip up delicious meals. Unwind in the comfortable living room, or step outside and enjoy the breathtaking lake views from the property. Weekend Stay

We rented the house with 3 families and had a great time. The house was very clean and was kept up nicely. The feedback we have is to describe how to dock your boat with the very shallow water at the shoreline. Also, the back bedroom had a musty smell. It would be nice if the house had A/C, but the owner had sufficient fans in every room. We had a great experience.

Cute lake house

We stayed here after Christmas with family and it was the perfect lake front property for our group. We are hoping to get back to it during the summer so we can enjoy the lake I grew up at with my kids.

This was a great place to stay. It was clean, quiet, comfortable with plenty of room and beds!

We had a very pleasant, relaxing week in the cottage. It is located in a very picturesque area with a lot of hiking trails, opportunities to go boating or swimming and also skiing or ziplining. We would definitely come back again. The cottage itself had everything we needed. It was very charming.

Another Great Stay

There’s so many things to love about this Lakehouse. It’s right on the water so you get to see everything from the inside if the weather is too cool to be outside. Plus, there’s plenty of yard space for corn hole and bury fire pit. There’s a gas grill on the property so we were easily able to pair meals every night plus a full kitchen. This is our go to for when we want to stay at Lake Chautauqua!

Beautiful Oasis

Highly recommend this wonderful property. Loved the lake house decor, spacious rooms and large kitchen. We had a blast hanging out on the deck all day long. Dock was great for kayaking and fishing. We definitely will come back! Thank you to the property manager for a wonderful experience.

House seems small from the outside. Great layout inside! Super spacious and comfortable. Lots of space inside! House really clean, well stocked with everything you would need in the kitchen. Bedrooms are really spacious and bed comfy. Will rent again!

Girls Trip

Great cottage on the water with not only views but water access. The cottage provided a great place for four 30+ girls to relax and unwind for a few days. We spent three great days and only left one day to go explore the area and local breweries. We had previously rented this rental seven years ago with our partners and would return without hesitation again

Great getaway!

We were looking to get away with our three college aged kids, for a weekend, before the summer ended. This was the perfect spot! The cottage was very well stocked, the yard was great and we were able to tie a pontoon boot up to the dock. Brent was very easy to communicate with and even stopped over to say hi, which we really appreciated. We would definitely stay here again. The hammock and cornhole were much enjoyed bonuses! We also really loved the location - very peaceful.

Great weekend!

This was a great weekend away. The cottage was perfect except the outside could use a power washing. Other than that no complaints. There was nothing lacking. Brent is great and very responsive. I would highly recommend this rental.

A slice of heaven on Chautauqua Lake!

Our large group thoroughly enjoyed our Memorial Day weekend at your cottage. There was plenty of room for everyone and the convenience of having linens, towels and a fully stocked kitchen made packing much easier. We all enjoyed the hammock, fishing, canoeing, large yard play space and wading way out into the lake without worrying about it getting deep too quickly. The owner was very attentive and responsive. Even better than your pictures too! I really should keep this place a secret because we want to come back often!

An absolutely WONDERFUL vacation stay from beginning to end !!!

Being new grandparents, my wife and I were looking for a quiet & comfortable place to spend with our 2 young adult daughters, our son-in-law, and our 7 month old granddaughter. Never having been to Lake Chautauqua, but hearing wonderful things, I started looking around 6 months prior for such a family retreat, and fortunately we found this beautiful lakeside gem !!! From the very beginning, the owner was responsive, helpful, and honest throughout the planning, booking, and payment processes. When my family arrived we were immediately enamored with the natural beauty/serenity, the lakehouse accommodations, and with the charming nearby small town of Mayville, all of which were exactly what we were looking for. The lakehouse was exactly as described and more. The owner made himself easily available, if we had any questions during our stay, and was very friendly. Our stay exceeded our expectations, and we all were so pleased with the entire stay, including our young granddaughter. It was a great introduction to the Chautauqua region which has so much to offer. We will be returning to Chautauqua in the future and will choose to have our stay at this lakehouse again.

Wonderful place for a family vacation

We enjoyed a wonderful vacation at the Lake House. The view was breath-taking! It was very peaceful. My brother-in-law swam in the lake every day and my daughter loved the hammock. It was a perfect place for a family vacation. I managed to read a number of books and the family enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles at night. We were close to fantastic restaurants and especially like the Watermark with its lobster dishes. It was convenient to food shopping also and we appreciated the propane grill for our steak night. The kitchen was well-equipped and a major important point was the main bathroom and a bedroom were located on the first floor. My husband is handicapped and it made life easier for us. We have 2 suggestions: a step stool for the bathroom- we are short and had trouble reaching the washer and small inexpensive plastic bin dressers in the bedrooms for some clothing and a place to put a clock etc. We did make a good deal of use of the fans but it was an unusually hot summer. Thank you for allowing our pomapoo. She enjoyed her vacation.. Everyone loved the deck!

Great lake front property

This is a great spot! It’s a lovely house in a beautiful spot on the lake. The 4 bedrooms means lots of space for the family to spread out. The home has a huge front deck where we are most of our meals and the stargazing by the bonfire pit at night is unbelievable. I only gave 4/5 stars for cleanliness because we had to vacuum up some bugs when we first got in, but people should understand it’s a lake house and there are some woods around. Overall it was clean, the bathrooms and bedrooms and everything else was clean when we checked in. I’m guessing a door was left open a few extra minutes from whoever was in there before us. The main bathroom looks like it’s newly renovated and having a washer and dryer at the house was a huge plus with three kids at the lake. The hosts were great with communication and sent several emails prior to our stay. We didn’t need to communicate during the stay, but they offered contact info just incase. The neighbors were only there on our last day, so it was like we had both front lawns to ourselves. When they did show they were super friendly. Overall wonderful stay. I highly recommend this spot if you’re staying in the area.

Fabulous cottage for both adults and children. It is clean and stocked well with everything you need. Plenty of fans for the hotter days and lots of space to play outside in the yard or in the water. There is a little roadside fruit stand/market near to restock on local produce, eggs, and more. Anything you could want to do is either a short drive or boat ride. We were very impressed and will definitely be back.
