"My husband and our two dogs wanted to escape the celebrations of the Fourth of July and enjoy nature. We were so happy with everything we found with this cabin. It’s nestled nicely in the mountains, 25 minutes from the hikes we had earmarked to do, 5 miles to Manama and as peaceful as it gets. The sound of the creek was so beautiful to hear when we had the windows open or drank our morning coffee on the deck. The bed was comfortable, the kitchen was a perfect size for what we needed. We enjoyed the pool one day after a long hike and truly had a wonderful weekend. The management team was extremely responsive to any of our questions even with how to find the shed to leave our trash at the end of the stay. We plan to come back soon. It was perfect. "

"We loved this place! Even better in person than online. Very well equipped, comfortable bed, cute little deck in the back with Adirondack chairs—great place to have your coffee and watch a deer skip by. Warning—WiFi signal is really bad, so plan on unplugging during your stay. It was not a problem for us, but could be for others. Other minor issue was that we arrived at 8pm and hadn’t had dinner. There is a super cute pizza joint (Jack’s Hut) on the Freestone property, but it is only open 8-5pm. Wish it was open for dinner! Other than that, stay was perfect and peaceful and gorgeous! (Also, lovely 2-mile trail walk from freestone to the awesome Mazama store)."

The property is close to all the fun things in Mazama - hiking, biking, climbing, the Mazama Store/Brewery, and was a beautiful location to hang out at as well! The small, attached studio was perfect for my partner and I. Dawn was quick to respond to my questions and very helpful as well. I would absolutely try to stay here again! "
