"This hotel is on a lovely beach about 90 minutes outside of Dakar. It’s a new property with great amenities. The buffet had a lot of variety and food was good. There were a lot of activities from water yoga to kayaking to peddle boats. The beach was very swim able with gentle waves. I wanted to acknowledge Erica at the front desk for fantastic service."

The pool is wide, clean, and refreshing — a great place to spend your afternoons. The Wi-Fi works perfectly, which is a big plus. Honestly, there’s nothing unpleasant I’ve experienced so far. "We loved the Ecolodge de Simal. It's really off the beaten track (quite literally so), but once you get there, the location is wonderful: right on the water. We were there for three nights. The food was plentiful, fresh, and tasty; the free activities (like a excursion en pirogue) was wonderful; the pool is chlorinated and clean; the rooms are rustic with open air bathrooms and toilets, but comfortable; the housekeeping good; the bar/restaurant staff friendly. It's not a "luxury" resort--there's no wifi or AC-but for the average traveler who wants to feel comfortable and relax, and who is interested in not seeing the "same old" Senegal, this place is for you! I would return again without hesitation. While you're there: take a day trip to Fadiouth and the amazing Musee Mich"
