The pool was amazing for the kids! Jonathan at the front desk so was nice and accommodating making sure my sister and I had rooms next to each other. Probably the best continental breakfast I’ve ever had. The washer and dryer were great as we had a car sick kiddo on the way there. Will absolutely be staying again! Thanks again Jonathan for all your help!

This place is just OK. It is an old property. Everything about it needs updating. I got a 2 Queen room and asked for dog friendly. IDK maybe the dog friendly rooms are not as updated, but the room was not very nice at all. They charge just over $40 dollars extra if you bring a pet, for their stupid pet fee. Which is really annoying as the room is basically a dump, and they are fake hardwood floors anyway, so any extra cleaning would be nothing. The staff is typical McCall low level service people, they are nice enough but not very well trained and obviously don't want to be there. I get it, they don't make a decent living wage there, and the staff is in McCall for reasons other than hospitality. If you need a place to stay, its not horrible. But for a couple hundred more, I would say go with a VRBO - they have a lot of options in McCall that would make it a better trip. The breakfast was OK, standard cheap motel offering. Waffles, powdered eggs, greasy bacon, sausage. The coffee in the lobby is terrible, But they have an espresso machine in the breakfast room that was OK. I would avoid it if I could, but not a horrible place either.

The Wi-fi was poor at best, hardly worked, unless you like dial up. The water temperature never got to hot, just a lukewarm shower. I forgot hairspray, and they had a card that said that if we forgot anything, they could help out. I called the front desk and they said they couldn't help me. So, not much went well there.

I had a wonderful corner room. The bed was actually comfortable which I don't find often. The pool was open 24/7 which made it easier to have the whole thing to myself. The breakfast was plentiful and very good. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I stayed a week and enjoyed the whole time. If I ever go back to McCall I will stay here again.

Honestly I would have given them a bad review because I discovered crunched up chips under the fitted sheet, the fridge leaked water all over the food I put in there, and I had trouble with the key card not working at one point. However, they were friendly and took care of the problems very quickly. There was plenty of breakfast and drink options in the morning and the beds were comfortable. The dog treat bags they gave me for my two dogs were a nice touch and the outside pet area was also really nice.

No Room At The Inn

When I arrived to check in at Best Western Plus McCall at 7 PM after a full day on the road I was informed my room had been cancelled and they were completely full. The reason for the cancellation was a credit card issue. I had made the reservation 8 months earlier and the card originally supplied had been compromised. The day before Best Western Plus McCall had sent me a text that they were looking forward to my visit and did not indicate there was any problem. If they had asked for the updated card information this situation would have been avoided. Due to the late time of day and the unavailability of rooms in McCall I ended up taking a room at an inferior facility at an inflated price. Hotels.com sent me surveys about check-in and my stay so they clearly did not manage the problem and did not care they had placed me and my wife in a very undesirable situation.
