Not 100% Ready, Bad Communication, Old TV
My girlfriend and I stayed for a long ski weekend for her birthday. The location is excellent, and the condo is nice. The TV is 20 years old (which is sad considering TVs are so inexpensive and it is not a cheap condo) and the fireplace was not ready for use (No Propane...)Checkin was Friday late afternoon. We tried to work the fireplace in the evening. It did not work and the rental office was closed. I called first thing Saturday and was told a tech would be out that day while we were skiing. Got back in the evening and there was no sign of a tech having come. No note, no voicemail or text, no email. Sent a message in the portal Sunday morning as it was our last day and the fireplace was a big selling point for why we chose the condo. In my message, I requested a call back. No call. I got an email saying the tech was waiting on a part and will be out that day to fix it. The techs did come on Sunday and were friendly, but made comments that made it clear they had not seen it before ("I've never seen the fake logs stacked like this"). When we got back that evening after skiing, we did have a handwritten note this time that said that they could not fix the fireplace because the issue was no propane, not that they needed a part.....For 1200 for a 3 nights stay, I am very disappointed that condo was not fully ready for guests and that we were told a part was needed, when clearly no one actually came to the condo to diagnose the issue and get it working for us.
