"Darren is excellent and quick to reply to conversations. He has set up a cozy home away from home for his guests. Clean and quiet and the area is beautiful for a peaceful walk. House is equipped with everything you need to cook a meal or relax with take out. We tried the Kusmo pizza and it was great. The town is beautiful and clean. We enjoyed our stay. Thanks Darren for a great place for our weekend get away"

"All staff were friendly and helpful. Room was spotless with a comfortable king size bed. Breakfast was plentiful. Only suggestion is to change the menu each day. Having stayed four nights, it would have been nice to have something different like pancakes, waffles, and a different fruit. We tried to leave gratuity online for all four of the staff. Unfortunately we could only check one box. Any assistance you can give would be greatly appreciated."

"Our room was renovated, so that was nice. A very lovely view of the water! And a nice area to take the dog. A few minor things like broken screens (so we couldn't open the windows), loud bathroom fan, and broken picnic table in the yard made it look a bit rough. The person at the desk when we checked in kept yelling at the staff. He seemed unhappy."

"Such a special place! Dark sky’s for a beautiful Milky Way night sky! Nice simple clean decor. Beautiful sun rise. The kayaking swimming looked like they would be great and I wish I had time to stay longer. Comfortable bed."

"House was located in lovely quiet neighborhood, 5 minute walk from downtown Richard's Landing and marina. House is still under renovations and a mix of newly renovated and older cottage vibe. It suited our needs for a 3 day visit to the island. Host was exceptionally friendly and easy to work with."

"We loved staying at the cottage! It was a peaceful and very relaxing long weekend. Everything you could need in the kitchen was available. We especially enjoyed using the boat and canoe. My only regret was that it wasn’t chilly enough for us to have a nice fire in the fireplace. I would highly recommend staying at this property."

"Couldn't ask for more. We've stayed at about a dozen different cottages in northern Ontario and Lakeside Cottages in Bruce Mines is the best. The beds are comfy, the price is reasonable, the cottage comes fully stocked (no upcharge for bedsheets like some places!!!), the kitchen is full and also stocked (salt and pepper and oil and coffee!!!), the cottages are clean and pretty, the view is amazing, the firewood is onsite and included (not $20 for a tiny bundle like some places...), reasonable canoe rentals, beautiful lawn and playground for the kids, and the hosts are so nice, great at communication! This is our second year visiting and we WILL be back!"
