"We stayed at this property for a week the main person in charge Alex he was so helpful always on hand if we needed anything there was an incident which was resolved instantly it was a well looked after and more then worth the cost to stay the room was clean and tidy fresh bedding and towels any time we needed the property was well maintained and cleaned every day I will be staying here every time I visit Scotland and will be visiting again very soon with family and friends it truly was a pleasure staying at this hostel one of the nicest hostels iv ever stayed in and I travel a lot it’s close to a cinema swimming baths town is a 5~10 minute walk Lidl is literally across the road the police station is just as close and it’s on the sea front who doesn’t want a nice evening stroll along the coast line beautiful surroundings"

"The Tontine is a delightful old-world hotel — complete with beautiful stained glass in the entry windows — that befits the heritage of its neighborhood. Staff were extremely helpful, accommodating my flight-caused schedule change, and room service was very quick and exactly the meal I ordered."

"Great little place with a superb view over the Clyde. As the owner states it's on a third floor with stairs only so not for everyone. Very nice for two, kitchen and nice living room. Would use again."

"Parking situation nots great - due to 8.30-9.30am and 4-5pm restrictions. there should be pass made available. There was mold leak at top left hand side of kitchen window. 1 day it rained it was continuous drip - rest of time was sunny so no issue. other than foosty smellUsually there is a book with details on how to operate appliances, when and where to put garbage, details of close by attractions etc - not in this caserecommend thisGreat location - near town center and transport (train station) to Glasgow"

"We had a pretty good time. It was in a very central location which was nice. I do wish that the beds were a little bit more comfortable, and that there were better instructions when it comes to the shower and the heating. Over all it was very enjoyable. "
