"We are just back from 2 glorious weeks at Paolo's property in Meco. Honestly, everything was perfect for us. The house itself was well-presented and well-equipped, spacious, and had everything we needed. We especially loved the outside areas. The pool was a bit chilly (we were offered the option to heat it prior to arrival which we didn't take) but a decent size and we made use of it pretty much every day. Communication with Paolo was very easy (via Whatsapp), he sent us all the information we could possibly need ahead of our stay and checked in on us during our stay to make sure everything was ok. Ideal for what we like - totally unobtrusive but available if we needed anything. We have visited Portugal lots of times before but never this area. We absolutely loved exploring the towns and villages of the Serra da Arrabida and of course the stunning beaches. We hired a car but Ubers are also readily available in the area and super cheap. The specific location within Aldeia do Meco was great - walkable (via road) to the plethora of bars/restaurants in the village centre.We had a lovely time (we really REALLY didn't want to leave!) and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Casa do Pai (Fathers House) - Obrigada Paolo :) "

"We loved our time at Ursula’s property. The house is situated in the middle of nature, yet just a short drive away from all amenities, characterful small towns, great beaches and within easy reach of Lisbon. The property was clean, very spacious and felt like a home away from home. Communication was a dream with copious information of house, surroundings, places to eat etc. being provided upfront, which showed us even before arrival that the owner really does care. "

"Just what we wanted, a beautiful base close to wonderful beaches. The village has everything you need, groceries, pharmacy, restaurants, coffee shop etc. Fully equipped villa, with everything you need, including pool towels, always a bonus. The pool works perfectly, small but deep enough for a dip to cool off. Yes there are dogs and chickens nearby, but didn’t bother us, wasn’t continuous. Surprised by the lack of aircon, always take it as a guarantee but even though the temp was mid 30’s, it does cool off at night. Again not a problem for us as we don’t rely on aircon, but might be an issue to others. Wonderful modern house for 4 people, ample of space, pool amazing and great place to base yourselves to explore the area with ease. "

"This place was amazing. Warm and welcoming and peaceful. The staff goes out of.their way to make your stay comfortable. The rooms are on the small side but we spent most of the time either by the pool or sightseeing. A full breakfast is included with eggs, fruit, bread, cheese, meat and assorted drinks. Very convenient location for exploring the area. We were very happy with this guest house."

"What an amazing villa! A large house that was furnished beautifully and really well stocked with useful cooking and cleaning extras, which was much appreciated. The swimming pool is a good size for a single villa and the garden had sun all day, plus we enjoyed the lovely shady dining table for our BBQ meals. A special mention for our host Elisabeta who was so helpful and friendly. It's a quiet and peaceful area, and we managed well using Ubers without requiring a hire car. All in all, our family of six had a marvellous stay and our only regret is that we couldn't stay longer. "
