I really enjoyed my stay at The Gainsborough. You honestly couldn't ask for a better location. It's just a block from the square and an easy 10 min walk from Bath Spa train station, so getting around the city was effortless. The hotel was spotless, and the staff were friendly and genuinely helpful throughout my stay. Very clean and quaint room. Breakfast was included in the rate, we were able to order from the restaurant menu. Delicious!!

The location was perfect! We are on a 50 day trip through the UK and EU and laundry has been problematic. Having the option to do our laundry was a huge plus! It is close to everything but far enough away from the crowds. Everything is very close walking distance and the apartment was very well stocked and furnished. The only down side is the three flights of stairs if you’re from UK and 4 flights if you are from the US. I would not recommend bringing full sized suitcases.

Cute little boutique hotel. If I were a foodie, I would have taken advantage of their breakfast. Centrally located near all the things you go to Bath for. Great staff, spacious and clean rooms. If you like a more homey stay,over one of those sterilized franchises, this is the place for you!

Wonderful location close to the train station and all of the main sites of Bath. Very friendly and helpful staff. The hotel itself is very beautiful and clean.

We chose a Cozy (Small) room, which was certainly adequate. The staff were extremely helpful - the General Manager carried our bags to our rooms. My daughter's room had a bathtub/Shower which suited her. My room had a walk-in shower which was great due to my balance and mobility problems. The breakfast was superb - including my daughter's vegetarian option. I strongly recommend this charming hotel.

Good choice. We stayed just overnight, but this would be a good spot for a longer stay. Centrally located, easy walk to Abbey and Roman Baths.
