"It was a nice clean hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful. The mattress was one of the most confortable I have had at a hotel. If you need a place to stay in the Ashland/Washburn/Bayfield area, this is the one I would recommend."

"The Blue Wave Inn is located directly on the water. We woke up to wonderful sunrises and ended the day with spectacular sunsets. The limited amount of rooms makes for a quiet, restful stay. It’s the exact opposite of a large, chain hotel! The contactless access makes checking in and out simple and easy. My wife especially enjoys the jetted tub, and I was impressed with the large, walk in, dual head shower. The water pressure is as good as I’ve ever experienced in a hotel! If you’re looking for a higher end hotel, that’s easy to find, easy to get in to, is close to a variety of restaurants, you’ll want to stay at the Blue Wave Inn! This was our second stay, and it won’t be the last!"

"Beautiful cabin on a beautiful lake. Very peaceful, we had the luxury of having some Loons patrol the lake as well as two pairs of Swans. The fishing was fantastic for children. Mellen and the surrounding area are very beautiful. We went to Dusty’s Saloon when thirsty, had supper at Elkhorn Lodge in Clam Lake. Visited Corrigans lookout in Upson, hiked Cooper Falls but spent most of our time on the lake at the cabin. Highly recommend to anyone wanting to visit the north woods."

"Davos Chalet is a very charming, cozy place with many amenities. The new owners are very welcoming and add a homely touch to your stay. The view outside is spectacular- worth the stay in and of itself. We will definitely be coming back. "
