I booked a room and as I was staying for a diving holiday with my mate, not my partner, I phoned the hotel and requested a twin room but when we arrived it was set up as a double bed which was 2 single beds pushed together. When I pointed this out, all they did was move the beds apart. When I complained this was a double room and i wanted a twin room as per my phone call they insisted all their rooms were set up like this basically with a large double head board and plug sockets on the right and left. These rooms are trying to be both a double and a twin. The bathroon design was poor with no shower cubicle door or curtain and consequently water went everywhere and flooded the bath room floor. Breakfast was good, the rooftop pool and restaurant was very nice and it is modern and clean. If you want a proper well designed twin room don't stay here. Also, although there was a balcony the view was a wall opposite and other rooms so not somewhere to sit and watch the view! It is actually two buildings with a lift from reception down to the first floor and a walk underneath the road to the other building and then another lift to the 7th floor which is where our room was. This is not obvious from the hotel description. Finally it is on a steep hill so mobility issues will make this hotel unappealing although the many buses stop only a few yards away so very convenient for travelling around the island. Recommend a trip to Gozo. Very nice day out.
